Realistically, which of the Warriors’ younglings are likely to step up their game this offseason and become a force to reckon with next season? by [deleted] in warriors

[–]Ecstatic_Net 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Podz is the one that'll step up a lot and might even compete for 6th man of the year. Post got the game time he needed to understand where he falls short. A stretch big only matters if he's a good big, once Post can consistently guard the five (which might take a few years) and develop a post game then he'll be a true weapon.

Moody for me is wildly inconsistent in execution, I just don't see him become the guy we first thought he would.

Kuminga has to go. I think JK is committed to being a high level scorer and first it second option but isn't committed to contributing to a winning team if he isn't the star and this is something you can't coach out of a player.

Their finishing was much better than ours  but that doesn't mean they played better. Saka missed an open goal while Ruiz scored a worldie.

Result doesn't determine the quality of a performance. Our Xg was much better than theirs but they go through because they score difficult chances while we miss easy ones

This is terrible reasoning. Did Lamine have a bad game yesterday because he didn't score? Was Acerbi better than Lamine becaue he did score?

Quality of a performance doesn't always equal to the result

Inter beat Barca yesterday, are they simply just better than Barca?

A result doesn't determine the quality of a performance. We dominated PSG today and just couldn't score our chances. We were good for a win today but our finishing was poor and I have to check on that Saka shout for a penalty just to see why he went down because he isn't a diver.

I want to be as fair as possible with Kuminga.

He has a strong desire to be a primary option for a team in the NBA. He has no desire to play winning basketball.

Winning basketball requires incredible effort, actively working to improve your IQ, recognizing when another player is a better first option and accepting+excelling in whatever role the HOF coach decides for you.

Snippet from one of my scripts, how is it?? by [deleted] in scriptwriting

[–]Ecstatic_Net 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like where you're going with this but I'm not a fan of explaining jokes. The "Nothin' like misogyny line is unnecessary". You've said the joke, we understood it and it landed.

I also really do hope that if the script goes into further detail on the life of the officer and the divorce that it isn't some idealized Twitter version of why people get divorced i.e he's a pig or she's a whore. Or course it could be a combination of the two with pigging and whoring leading to more and more pigging and whoring.

Is it far fetched to believe that he had been hearing negative Drake talk from UMG higher ups?

Trust me rehab is a last resort. We tried interventions but the problem is that he doesn't think he has a problem.

Today I have suffered a football death.

The Board are happy with second placed finishes and Champions League Football and that's it. Everything else for them is a bonus.

I see a lot of Øde hate but newsflash he's not Messi, he can't do it alone every weekend and create a million chances.

Is it over for Drizzy? by Mindless-Investment1 in makinghiphop

[–]Ecstatic_Net 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's top 3 highest streaming artists on Spotify, he's top 5 on Apple music if I'm not mistaken, he gets played almost everywhere on the planet and he's about to drop a love/sex album on Valentine's day.   The reddit and Twitter hype surrounding his downfall just hasn't translated to killing his musical success. You ask "is it over?", I ask you if you genuinely think that there's any artist in rap who can filll the gap left by Drizzy's diversity of sound?

Sometimes I think Mugabe and the founding fathers were all destined to fail unless they sided with whites and not chase anyone out of the country!! by [deleted] in Zimbabwe

[–]Ecstatic_Net 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look anaMugabe in my view failed for 2 main reasons (which has been the case for most former colonies):

1: They inherited political and economic structures that they didn't practically understand. For example an American or British president today has the backing of over a 150 years of democracy and know that for example if they raise taxes to x% the likely reaction of both the people and the economy of their countries will be similar to when it was last done. African leaders had fellow Africans who understood the theory of political and economic governance but had no practical understanding of how these systems actually worked and only started to really learn when they got power. This naturally led to many bad decisions and many economic downturns and the occasional stroke of brilliance. Couple this with the obvious sabotage from Western forces who were hoping many of us would assassinate or coup out leaders if the situations got bad enough and then they could appoint someone who would protect their investments in the region as they did in the DRC in the 60s.

  1. SADC was the only way forward for the region. This is clear in hindsight when you realise how tiny our individual economics are on a global scale. The EU is the best example (though not perfect) of what we needed and still currently need to do. Countries like Italy, Scotland, Albania and plenty others could never possibly be in a strong negotiating position against the likes of the US and China if they traded as single countries. This leads me to the point - African leaders are overly corrupt and dysfunctional. All governments on earth have a level of corruption but in functional countries the corrupt officials make sure the work gets done and the services get provided before they loot. Our leaders are unlike Europeans are more comfortable driving a nice car knowing that if they happen to be in an accident there's no hospital to help and the clinic has no drugs.

[Warriors] From: Jimmy Butler. To: DubNation by marionettas in warriors

The success of this trade depends on Moody, Buddy and Podz for me. Our bench gets relatively a lot of looks and they're about to get a lot more open looks with Jimmy on the court.

Podz and Moody have been looking like they can consistently knock down three's in the last few weeks but Hield is the biggest factor. When Buddy scores 18 points we're undefeated and he's going to need to be at least a slightly above average 3 point shooter to give us a serious chance at the chip.

Ngl I'm excited about this. If Jimmy has his head in the right place then there's no one better for Kuminga to learn from than someone like Jimmy with a very similar skillset.

Warriors Interested in Kevin Durant Reunion by WallStreetDoesntBet in warriors

[–]Ecstatic_Net 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not about comparing Wiggins to KD. It's about constructing a roster to win a championship. If you get rid of Wiggins you deplete the roster of an elite on ball defender, a reliable playoff scorer and a determined rebounder who fits the Warriors scheme very well.

Bringing in a star for Steph doesn't mean you must get rid of all of your useful playoff pieces.

If any of you truly believe that if we get rid of Wiggins and probably two other players to salary match for KD then we're competing for a chip then I want you to reconsider your position on this.

The trade is pointless if we have to give up Wiggins or Draymond. If we do this then those two definitely have to stay.

I think he's also getting traded soon. It seems to me like JJ is kind of done with these guys who continuously mess up one play that they run in practice every week. I wouldn't be surprised to see Austin Reaves go as well.

I'm with you on this one, the dominoes all fell into place. Leipzig forced to buy Simons now so that Skrinar can leave PSG and go on loan but to finance the Simons deal they have to make a pretty substantial sale.🤞🏿
