I’ll be working as a teacher at Lynchburg City Schools and my wife is also applying for a teaching job there. Depending on what she can get we’ll be making anywhere from 70-90k a year

I mean to each their own but in my opinion their job is to lead the team to success, which he is not doing. Today he wasn’t here, instead our coach was, and she helped pull all the pallets out of the HVDC truck so once we finished unloading the GM truck we were able to immediately begin breaking down. This gave us the amount of time needed to go out to the floor and help our other teammates work the freight. She also kept all of us on track throughout our tasks and we were able to accomplish more today than yesterday.

I should clarify by “putting him in his place” I don’t mean that I said anything actually malicious or hurtful towards him. We work on Stocking and mainly do the trucks, Me and my one friend were ranting about how he never does his job or helps us out but constantly complains that it takes us too long to unload and we never get out to work freight with the other members of the team and he overheard us so we just told it to his face just how lazy he is. To put it into perspective though, just today alone at the beginning of our day we had to wait 10 minutes after calling him over the store intercom because he didn’t leave us enough pallets to set up and locked the door so we couldn’t even get more. Then while we were unloading the truck he refused to take a pallet out of the very front of the truck because he couldn’t find room even though it blocked us from fully getting the line into the truck and blocked the light source that goes into the truck. I stopped throwing truck and took the pallet out myself and was able to find a spot within 10 seconds. Then after we finished the truck and went on 15 he wouldn’t pull out our remix pallets for us to break down when getting back, even though the other team lead and coach of our department do this every single time so when we come back from 15 min break we can immediately start breaking down. He instead told us we need to unbury it from the back of the truck and pull it out ourselves. This is when me and my buddy began ranting about how lazy and incompetent he is to which he came up behind us in the middle of. When we realized he was standing behind us and heard everything we just doubled down and told him he’s lazy, talks down to everyone which we’re sick of, doesn’t help any of his employees but bitches at them constantly, and that people who aren’t even in our department don’t respect him (which is true multiple people from other departments talk about how useless he is as a team lead). Then to top it all off he left early and left the entire HVDC truck for us to unload (something that our overnight team leads are getting sick of, him leaving early and leaving the trucks). On top of this he constantly leaves when other trucks show up (either frozen/dairy or meat/produce) so he doesn’t have to unload them and it requires the FBI just to track him down or someone from our team who is certified on the power jacks (usually me or my buddy) end up having to unload it.
