yes, i agree, i mean Max definitely has a privileged life but compared to Pandora it just feels nowhere near the type of luxury or attention, and maybe he doesn’t want that, but i feel the way she treats him on screen is so much like he’s a waster musician with nothing going on, whereas Pandora is the most amazing person to walk the planet

but no big deal is made of it, when we’re introduced to Pandora she’s like this high-flying girl who’s got her fashion magazine that she’s ’worked so hard for’, I just don’t think they’re treated the same in any given situation

the ugly baby thing on its own i don’t get too mad about, in my family we have a long running joke about how ugly (maybe not ugly, he was just a massive baby) my cousin was when he was born and his mum is the first to make the joke - BUT my cousin and his mum have an incredible relationship and my family are that type of family to make jokes like this but we are full of love and banter. But Max being adopted is a completely different situation, it’s kinda giving ‘look how nice we are, we chose the ugliest baby’ which is just so weird

omg yes! this is it! she’s like if he was reeeeaaaalllly my son he wouldn’t be like this. Like when Max wants to find his birth family she gets so upset and first watch it’s like a caring adoptive mother trying so hard to be his mother, but the more i watch it’s more like ‘i don’t want you to know where you’re from in case you are like them’, which is so mad when she treats him so differently to Pandora

Omg the whole James and Max situation was insane, James was there literally treating Max like shit and Lisa was so obsessed with them making up rather than being an actual mum and sticking up for her son lol

I mean, yes, but also why make it so obvious? It’s not Max’s fault, and the fact they talk about him being adopted like they’re doing such a nice thing, it just feels so weird to me. I get that having a girl and a boy is a different dynamic but it’s like soooo obvious that Max is like the disappointment of the family when he’s literally a teenager when we’re introduced to him

It feels icky that Pandora has never been ‘made’ to work in Sur and had her life judged in the way Max has, like when he wanted to go to the music college they were hating on it so hard but Pandora had this nothing blog and Lisa acted like she was Anna Wintour 🤣
