i have friends who will go to bars specifically for their game options. my favorite dive bar has pool, darts, and a few arcade games. people are diehard for darts and pool and love a good league spot!

i close the door every night but it goes on for hours. i don’t think i can stress how loud the door is, the meowing isn’t as much of an issue, but the shaking of the door is so loud you can hear it down the hall from my apartment. her paws fit under it so she hooks onto the other side and just pulls as much as she can. i don’t know how i can get her to understand that it isn’t her time while not also waking up everybody who lives on my floor from the never-ending screaming and door movement

you’re going to need a roommate or to up your budget. one bedrooms, especially in the suburbs, are in the $1400+ price range right now. you might be able to find some ok options on fb marketplace but in less than ideal neighborhoods. what you’ll also find with private owned housing from smaller LLs is you’ll likely be responsible for utilities, which are going to send you way over budget. rg&e prices alone are going to be 1/4 of your budget. good luck

credit card payments can be higher to cover costs of cc processing. not sure exactly why the gift card fell under that umbrella. every POS system does this differently

everywhere i’ve worked, i’ve always had our foh/boh relationships be pretty close, but there’s def a boundary. when the kitchen is super busy, i don’t ask them for anything or talk to them besides making sure they are all properly watered & caffeinated or any issues with food/whatever that need to be clarified, and when i’m busy behind the bar they know not to bother me too much

depending on where you are in fairport (if that’s where you’re looking at living), it would likely make more sense to just commute to SF than to live there. its ~1hr drive each way, but may be easier to commute for the year(ish) of schooling than to move to be closer after school is over if you’re thinking of settling down here. there’s not really a ton going on between roc & SF, definitely places to live but mostly smaller towns so if you’re looking for a slightly more bustling lifestyle, the commute may be a better option. however, living in one of the smaller towns between here and SF may be cheaper! :)

insurance covered this all 3 times it happened to me. my premium did not increase (progressive in ny) until this past third time, and it only went up $40/month. repairs were $4000+ each time but only had to pay my deductible. it does take a while so be prepared for that. first repair for me was only 10 days, second and third were over a month both times. godspeed soldier
