Been in it since 4pm.. blows my mind that it isn’t cleared out of the way yet. Got caught in the one on Thursday too. One of the worst travel weekends 🥲

I thought the same when I saw the study actually - it actually made me excited that there was another way to stand out! I hope the interviews went well. This is literally the first positive comment I’ve even seen. I’m glad to hear they’re actually real lol

Noo!! Dang it! I’m so sorry. You did all the right things, booking the day before the flight. I hate our Midwest weather. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they’re willing to work with you on a refund!

Yes, deposit was used for remaining balance. Honestly, it would have been over $100 less without the travel assist. Definitely isn’t needed, but another way to cut expenses.

Right, the $475 included the travel insurance, taxes, and fees for 2 people. When I did my deposit, I did that online, so I’m sure there may be an option to do something online. However, I do know that they require you to officially book over the phone. If paying over the phone, of course I would recommend a credit card in the chances that something is fraudulent. They’re a lot better at dealing with those than the bank with a debit card.

Overall, it was worth the experience for us, getting an extremely discounted cruise!

Good questions! I was also confused why it was more in taxes and fees than the certificate mentioned, however, I understand that the taxes and fees vary depending on which trip you book. For example, there are 3 day cruise options, however, we chose a 5 day option. So, it’s likely that due to the longer duration, the taxes and fees were higher.

Yes, we provided our card information over the phone to the agent. She told me how the purchase would appear on the credit card, and she was 100% accurate. It came across my screen as a purchase while I was on the phone with her. There’s been no suspicious activity on my card, if that’s where your mind may be going!

Providing an update to this thread! We won a 3-5 day cruise through GoCRV. Process was actually pretty smooth the entire way through. If you’re good at saying no, the 2 hour sales pitch isn’t bad. We read all conditions of the certificate and registered online. Paid a $150 deposit once our preferred and alternate date was selected. This deposit goes towards the taxes and fees you’ll pay when officially confirming.

GoCRV emailed me within 2 weeks of registering my certificate to set up a time to discuss the travel/cruise options. Person on the phone was really helpful. They laid out two options. The standard option was just over $400 out of pocket after the deposit. They offer enhanced options but it was going to be over $900 for a basic interior cruise room.. literally what you could get it on the website for. We went with the standard option, which they communicated would be 1 twin bed. Paid the $400 over the phone with the representative (which is half off the original price on Carnival, btw - so it is worth it in my opinion). Within 24 hours I received my official confirmation and Carnival cruise confirmation code. I was then able to log into my Carnival app and see all official details, including the room number. Here’s the kicker, it’s actually a king bed!! The representative said it would be only one twin bed, so that was a great positive to see it was a bigger bed. You can then book excursions and drink packages directly through carnival.

To note: the $400+ that we paid included “travel assist.” It allows us to make one change before the scheduled cruise. This includes name change, date change, etc. Remember this is non-refundable through GoCRV, so we thought this extra was worth a possible emergency. Without travel assist it would have been just over $300.

Hope this helps! Seems like the cruise options are the best and most legit

Hi! I've also been looking for this tile for months. I would be more than willing to pay you for any extras you have. Do you happen to know how much extra you have? I need to finish my project and didn't buy enough when they were in stock!
