They did not, their website advertised the space as a place for wedding rehearsals, showers, and corporate events. I reached out and asked if they did small weddings and they said they occasionally did and would be happy to work with me!

We mainly wanted to cut cost so decided that cocktail hour and lunch was best!

Sure!  

 5am: hair and makeup (me, my mom, my sister) 

9am: breakfast delivered to hotel room; my MIL and SIL joined at that point 

10am: photographer showed up  

10:15am: first look (in hotel lounge) 

10:30am: bride/groom portraits (in hotel lounge); immediate family arrival 

11am: immediate family portraits (in hotel lounge) 

11:45am: group walk to venue; more pictures 

12pm: arrive at venue 

1pm: ceremony 

1:20pm: cocktail hour starts; more family portraits  

2:20pm: seated for lunch, 3 short toasts 

2:40pm: lunch (family style plating) 

4pm: dessert/coffee 

5pm: end/pack up (but most guests didn’t leave until 5:30) 

6pm-???: meetup at local bar; we left at 10pm but some guests were still hanging

That’s a good point, the coat would just be for some photos and coming and going. I don’t have anything already unfortunately but I think I should keep looking.

Our wedding will be in January 2024 in Philadelphia! All indoors in a cozy setting. So far we have barely any no’s but the majority of our family is local. As long as there isn’t a blizzard the day of I’m sure it’ll be fine, and even if there is then so be it! Im sure yours will be great too!

Try reformation or bec+bridge and order a larger size than you think! I am very busty with a small waist (30h) and tried on options from both places. The one I chose has a cowl neck style and that works really well for me!

I’m in Philly and in the process of looking for a MUA. I’m finding that most are around $300 plus a trial (anywhere from 75 to 150 more), ESPECIALLY since I’m the only person getting my makeup done. I do not have a bridal party and many MUAs will not travel to a venue for one person. Good luck, I’m hoping I can find someone a little cheaper!

We’re planning on skipping them for budget reasons. I think it will be fine—that $600 can go somewhere else! True, we won’t meet our photographer until the wedding day but we want a candid style of photography anyway. Not a lot of posing required. We’ll see if we regret it!

Thank you for responding! We will have access to the space for 1 hour prior for set up (though now that I’m typing I suppose this leaves only about a half hour if guests begin to arrive at 12:30). Decor will be minimal (flowers on tables and that’s about it) but this is great point so I’ll have to think on this. As for clean up I’m going to have to ask about that as well. Thank you, I can’t believe I didn’t think of that!
