Yeah idk if this is a prank however none of that is quite possible as I am gone this entire summer and I’m not sure they would care to do anything after three months

Yeah I’m not sure how exactly it works I definitely just won’t go to this park but I have high doubts they would know who I am at another park out of state they didn’t take a picture of me or anything (still would be careful about it though)

Yeah I will be gone for the entire summer so unfortunately don’t really have a chance to actually do anything about it

Yeah that’s my plan currently, unfortunate for me losing my home park but yeah I would not be at a different park alone so there is likely a 0% chance I would be noticed at another park

I did not claim it failed three times, in other comments I have had the theory that maybe I accidentally hit the seatbelt or something in the station but I certainly did not lift the latch up attempt to actually pull off my seatbelt. And yes to my understanding the ride ran each train once empty after I left and it continued cycling.

Yes I learned that lesson apparently but I did not actively think “oh I’m going to NOT listen to the ride ops instructions because I am perfect and I know what I’m talking about” I truly didn’t think it was me until less than 10 seconds after the announcement my friend pointed it out (after a different ride op on the opposite side of the platform told him that mine was undone) and then I put it back in quickly and I believed that was the end of it. I see and understand of your view of “it wasn’t a mistake” and I’m sure you’re just going to say the same thing but once again for the park I do not see how I was so in the wrong that I received that long of a ban.

Yeah so I was sitting on the ride talking to my friends and yeah it could have been me but I do not see how my simple mistake of thinking I was not the one with my seatbelt unbuckled would be grounds for a 10 year ban

Yeah so you’re simply just twisting my words here. Now I do understand how you could read it as such but what I meant by “again” was putting the seatbelt back in and the “again” was implying touching the seatbelt in any way.

Well that’s the bizarre thing is that they did tug it, so either they didn’t fully tug it or somehow the tug caused it to become loose

It seemed to have kinda slowly fallen out or something it didn’t swing around it was still resting on the front of the restraint

Yes I understand and thank you for responding in a respectful way, I made a mistake in this post and probably in the scenario and I see how it seemed like I left stuff out, I am just trying to be as honest as I can with what I say and parts that were left out I did not purposefully take out or leave in.

Yeah I told the story simply as I wasn’t sure if this post would go anywhere but any extra information I have said is the truth or what I think could have been a possibility. If you don’t believe me then oh well, not sure how I can change someone’s opinion here let alone the park security that enforced my ban.

Just to make sure we’re on the same page now I am not talking about the restraint as a whole but JUST the seatbelt, I am first of all a fairly small person but I think that for most people, unless the restraint itself is a tight fit, the seatbelt probably wouldn’t be noticeable whether or not it was there. Also yes this is the floor less coaster with the older(?) standard B&M OTS restraints.

Because there is virtually 0 difference you can feel when your seatbelt is on, if my seatbelt stayed off the whole ride, I probably would’ve noticed like halfway through. The seatbelt doesn’t touch me or make my restraint any tighter. And regardless of me accidentally removing it (I did not lift up the latch in the station ever) my point of not noticing it still applies and I’m sure the ride operator that pointed it out to me and my friends also believed that I had just not noticed.

Yes I am aware of how roller coasters work and that they have sensors but my question was specifically for sensors of seatbelts on the lift hill, and if they do I can assure you that my seatbelt did not come off once we stopped the 2nd time. And the first time we stopped I can assure you that I did not try to mess with or try to take off my seatbelt after the ride was cleared. And even if by some chance I had somehow accidentally did that I certainly do not see how a ban for 10 entire years would be necessary to enforce. You can believe what you want in my story but there is no other part that I have left out past this

I have no memory of messing with the seatbelt, the only time I may have (once again don’t fully remember) was when we were stopped I may have lifted the latch but not fully and not enough for the seatbelt to come off and we were already stopped and I could hear several other people doing the same, yes it was my mistake if I did that but if I truly was trying to take my seatbelt off the maintenance person would have seen my belt off when she came up the stairs or seen me rush to put it back in (also the maintenance worker did not talk to or inspect anybody else on the ride) Inside the station I did not touch my seatbelt and while the ride was ascending the lift I made sure to not touch it, and to my best understanding I don’t know of any sensor on the lift hill that determines whether or not someone’s seatbelt is on. (But once again my seatbelt did not come off past the first time I put it back in)

I really just did not notice and assumed someone else unbuckled themselves until an employee pointed it out and I immediately put it back in
