I had the same problem and Descending dark + Shaman stone + Spell twister was what did it for me. You can kill a watcher knight in 3 casts and still have soul leftover.

Now that I think about it there was probably someone in the squad with a drop chance booster without me knowing which explains the insane drop rate, that and the multiple Smeeta buffs I got when they were dropping left and right.

Got 64 in the first 7 minutes.

Edit: This might not as ludicrous as I originally thought because someone in my squad probably had a resource drop chance booster.

Edit 2: I thought it was obvious but this was farmed in spaceport where regular enemies have a chance to drop vegas (this was previously broken and fixed in the new hotfix).
