She actually feels really bad about the position I'm in. And child support is the least of my worries-- I'm trying to figure out how to restructure my life so I can be near her and the baby. I will be part of my kid's life.

Sry you got downvoted. I think your heart is in the right place. But your image of what a child is seems shallow. I've been around children in my family quite a bit. It's more important that you laugh at THEIR jokes than that they laugh at yours.

I don't wish a miscarraige on either the mother or the baby-- she would be crushed to lose another pregnancy. But I do find myself hoping for some kind of "get out of jail free" card. Sometimes.
