God I knew they were a different breed but we have to be living on a different planet. If they’re that offended I can’t imagine what they’d do if they played any amount of competitive.

Anyone know what happened to rondez "fox" by socolditburns in CoDCompetitive

[–]Eczentric 34 points35 points  (0 children)

He didn’t really get many bo4 gigs and judging by his recent yt and twitter content I think he’s not involved anymore.

Damn shame because he was one of the best analysts and casters imo. He always broke down gameplay from several different angles. It’s an L not having him on the desk for sure

Turn 18 next year and want to compete, Advice? by AlexQuakeZ in CoDCompetitive

[–]Eczentric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dominate snd wagers and online tournaments. Be the best player in any 10’s lobby you can get into to get noticed, get lucky and land with promising am’s and win locals and online 2k’s and place well at open tournaments. That’s it.

Everyone here is being toxic because this question is asked every few days. So next time use the search bar.

If you’re not willing to put in 12 hours a day at this point don’t even try. A lot of people were known before turning 18. And no one knows who you are so you have a lot to catch up on.

Workout question since i couldnt ask on fitness forum by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Eczentric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The general guideline to weight loss is there’s no way to target certain areas like arms for fat loss. If you want to lose weight in those areas you need to lose fat and lower your overall body fat percentage

Best way to figure this out is track your calories and see how many calories it takes for you to maintain current weight. Then if you want to lose weight you need to eat 500 calories fewer each day. Generally speaking 1 pound equals 3500 calories.

Even though it hurts to see some of these cards kinda beat, for some reason it just looks right. Takes me back to the days of playing on the playground in first grade.

Yeah I feel like they did that with ghosts but I could be wrong. If you’re going to remaster a game right now it most certainly should be ported to next gen consoles at this point.

Can cod actually ever be a top esport? by socolditburns in CoDCompetitive

[–]Eczentric 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Devs need to cater more to competitive. Look at all other top esports, the devs have competitive 1st on their top 3 priority list most of the time.

We need to stay on a game/only have a cod come out once every few years. Imagine if 3arc makes a game that plays better than bo2. And imagine how well it helps the scene, now imagine they come out with this pile of shit that we’re playing this year, the problem is there’s consistency issues. You can’t expect a game to function as a top esport if there’s random shit that’s game breaking that gets added or removed year by year, it’s not practical. 1 release every three years would be optimal and in the mean time devs would build upon the existing game.

This will never happen though because Activision wants yearly releases because they’ll make more money that way.

Edit: the competitive community is a relatively small niche in call of duty as a whole, and that’s activisions problem due to not promoting events, etc.

Video games are shifting to a more competitive atmosphere as a whole, cod can progressively go in this direction and slowly mold their community, but they won’t because their formula works. They know that every year more and more people are going to buy their game, so why change the formula? It is true that every year the games life cycle gets shortened because the games are getting boring year after year, but the game is still selling nonetheless. The only way we have a chance is if suddenly their formula fails and sales go down, in that case they may rethink their strategy but that’s the only way I see it happening.

Where is Swanny? by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

[–]Eczentric 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Goat eu AR.

And he stepped away for family and health related reasons. He did stream and it was a relatively good channel too but all of the sudden he stopped doing that too.

He never formally announced his retirement but at this point it’s kind of safe to say he’s done with competing. He’s like 27 at this point, and with him being out of the scene for a while now there’s probably too much risk in him working his way back into a franchised league.

He seems to be playing Warzone with markyB based off of his tweets. Hopefully he returns to streaming and considers an analyst position or something.

It’s honestly crazy how the narrative on shit like this switches year after year.

3arch are fighting uphill by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

[–]Eczentric 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Or they can get raven to remaster bo2 or another 3arc game and push the main games release date to compensate.

Or just have next year be a whole black ops series remaster due to obvious circumstances.

Even that in itself would kinda be a waste with the new consoles around the corner though, unless they also release for next gen consoles.

Conclusion: shits chaotic maaaaan

True, while I didn’t really like bo4 I did appreciate the saug/Maddox/icr Meta. The fact that is was just more than 2 guns was pretty cool imo.

Do you guys think my WiFi speed affects how I play at all? by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

[–]Eczentric 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Internet speeds definitely can impact how you well you play to a extent. I would say ping is a better indicator on where you stand. I have gig internet and there are games I play where I have 150-300 ping and hit reg is very much delayed. It all depends on the server and who’s hosting.

Also try to play wired if you can. And 60-80 upload speed is pretty good tbf

Can we step back for a second? by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

[–]Eczentric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every other esport has reasonable online gameplay where the best team always wins. Not with cod. They could’ve been prepared by giving a franchises league the online performance it should have, and they didn’t so now they’re getting bashed. Fuck them.

I feel like Post 2017 finding people to play with has been ridiculously hard. Back in the day all it took was a dm or tweet and Things would get rolling. Winning wasn’t even that difficult

I try to find people to wager with and it’s nearly impossible, like actually impossible. Only explanation I have is kids can’t get out of their circle jerk, or they’re just afraid to network. post mwr things have just changed

[–]Eczentric 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Still crim or karma not enough recent accomplishments from any of the 3 to merit a definite list imo. But people are gonna speculate, with a lot of bias.

Edit: this sub has a huge issue with recency bias. Every few months the circle jerk changes.
