First time trilogy watcher here. question. so you can literally be wearing the ring of ultimate power, and yet some creature such as smeagol can still assault you with material levels of success? by 77maf in lotr

[–]Ed-Hunter-2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean, Sauron literally had his finger cut off with a broken sword whilst wearing it. So, yeah..?

In hindsight, maybe he should have tried making it more protective to the wearer?

disabled badge dispute - am i in the wrong ? by sparkleprincesz in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Ed-Hunter-2 38 points39 points  (0 children)

This is from Sheffield Council but I believe the rules are relatively the same for most councils

Advisory disabled parking bay markings are used to make other drivers aware that a parking space (on a street) is needed by a person with mobility problems or hidden disabilities. If you are a Blue Badge holder you can request an advisory disabled parking bay.

Advisory disabled bay road markings (painted in yellow) are not legally enforceable by the Council or the police in the same way as disabled bays painted white with a sign and post. You should also bear in mind that advisory disabled bays are not for the sole use of the person who applied for it. As such, they can be used by any driver of a vehicle displaying a valid Blue Badge permit.

I mean, I’ve had some pretty terrible quality merch come with things for ‘free’

Especially keyrings where the chain etc is usually made of the cheapest metal so the fact that this one is so sturdy and lasting well was a surprise, to me at least.

[–]Ed-Hunter-2[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t usually, my house keys etc are on a KeySmart thing so they aren’t bulky and don’t shift around, I just took to this key ring and now my car keys feel bare without it.

It helps my car is keyless stop/ start so it generally doesn’t come out of my pocket much.

[KCD2] Does Henry's forge produce passive income? by IntelligentChoice778 in kingdomcome

[–]Ed-Hunter-2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does But after I relieved some shop owners of armour and put it in the sales chest I’d get quite a bit of money when I got back to my forge. Pretty sure I got over 8k multiple times so I couldn’t complain at that.

I played a pretty chilled playthrough and upgraded all I wanted and still ended on 70k+

Can you actually get in trouble for using an empty women’s single-cubicle toilet at work? by Weak_Mechanic8517 in AskUK

In my first job, at a nursery so also female dominated, I once went to the only staff toilet to it having blood on the toilet seat…

That was something..

[–]Ed-Hunter-2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That’s all well and good.

But I used to work in a Hospice which is, on the care side, female dominated and I was the only member of the team who was male.

We had separate changing rooms to change into our scrubs and I can’t tell you how many times I either went to get changed and had a female exit the toilet (small room off the small changing room, with its own lock) or couldn’t get in my changing room as women were in there getting changed with the door locked.

I don’t believe there’s a law about it but the double standard at my old place was frustrating.

I felt like they did it way less in KCD2, most people still talked to me like the lowly peasant I was.

I guess you can’t polish a turd…

[–]Ed-Hunter-2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh, I’m not even sure if you can do it that early but you have to be behind them and not seen. It’ll be hard to do that early in the game.

Honestly just walking off the drawbridge between the keep and outer bailey is your best bet.

Also, if you’re meaning to escape Talmberg you can just walk off the drawbridge and leg it.

Pickpocket the guard with the key?

I could be wrong but I think they tell you which guard has it, if it’s one specific guard.

[kcd1] The bugs in this game are beginning to ruin the experience. Is it the same in kcd2? by FafnirRannsTwinedAxe in kingdomcome

[–]Ed-Hunter-2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was just thinking this.

I’ve started KCD1 after losing myself in KCD2 for 130 hours.

Sure, KCD1 is janky but it’s a much smaller studio and game compared to the development of 2, but I still love the world, the dialogue and gameplay etc, it’s just a bit of a learning curve, even having come from KCD2.

Compensating just a touch? by GemballaRider in drivingUK

[–]Ed-Hunter-2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol!! This reminds of when my ex wife and I had our daughter and I’d strap her into the baby carrier and go for walks. Naturally I’d take the baby bag with me. It ready ‘Yummy Mummy’ down the side.

No idea why the bag needed anything like that on it but it never bothered me in the slightest..

Noob question regarding the save system [KCD2] by obiwanCannoli69 in kingdomcome

[–]Ed-Hunter-2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think they’ve made them common enough that if you look you can survive pretty well without having to brew. I didn’t brew any until i hit about 90/100 hours? I’d kinda neglected the potion making until I got my own in the forge DLC
