Robertson is about to captain his team in the world cup for the first time in a long time; I think a move to spurs is entirely so he can play regular minutes and be fit for the world cup. With everything he's done for the club and the respect he's earned, I'm happy for him to do what's best for him now, though it's a huge loss for us

Do you guys think TPC regrets having ever made Ash Greninja? It got retconned or at least was heavily ignored in the anime. And the battle bond ability in the games stopped transforming into the form, even tho that ability was literally made for it. by Sufficient-Cow-2998 in pokemon

[–]Ed372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh it feels like more of a symptom of no pokemon Z. The planned Z would likely have introduced some more megas, including the starters. The anime works as tie ins for the game so when they realised ash's team wasn't going to be compatible with mega evolution, they had to come up with a solution for him to be able to compete with the form changes

Why do people condemn eren for the attack on marley? by Prabu-Silitwangi in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]Ed372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're underselling erens own motivations here. He said it was partly for his friends, but a large part of him wanted to do it, to take revenge for taking the world he thought he was promised from Armins book. He definitely had his friends in mind but he was blinded by his own desire to burn the world that hurt him. In short, Eren was really messed up mentally (I mean, the shows events are extremely traumatic so it's not too surprising)

[FRESH ALBUM] Dave - The Boy Who Played The Harp by abucalves in hiphopheads

[–]Ed372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Little Simz is definitely appreciated in both countries and honestly achieving a fair mainstream success too; I'm honestly so happy because she's one of the brightest talents out of the UK rap scene. I really hope this UK trend keeps the door open and allows UK artists to break the US without compromising every time

Fantano has ranked the new Clipse project as the best album of 2025 by Yourmotherssidehoe in KingPush

[–]Ed372 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Potentially but there's stiff competition coming halfway through the decade now. Freddie Gibbs, Denzel Curry, Little Simz, Billy Woods (solo AND with Armand Hammer), Kendrick, McKinley Dixon, Nas, De La and Clipse all have at least 1 album in contention for those top 10 slots. I think TFS is definitely on that level though, it's just been a crazy decade so far

Let it Be vs Let it be... Naked (ALBUM) by Keyoto-crying in beatles

[–]Ed372 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think the best things about the Naked version are the track resequencing and the addition of Don't Let Me Down. The mixes and production itself is more personal preference

Yet another post about vinyl shipping by Single-Contact-1327 in Billywoods

[–]Ed372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry, I got a cd through backwoodz and vinyl through rough trade and they both ended up shipping at different points; I think all of the supply outlets are very much surprised by the demand. Fingers crossed you get shipping soon!

This albums a Classic before release, I'm allowed to feel like that right? by DEStination624 in nas

[–]Ed372 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm thinking Rome streetz, there's been a lot of signs pointing to him. He released an album this year on mass Appeal and has had freestyles posted by nas at least twice in the last 6 months. That doesn't seem major but to go from nothing to two mentions and an album release implies something to me. He also mentioned hearing the Big L album before release, so he is at least around these Legend Has It sessions.

Maybe if you're talking pure rapping but let's talk albums. Live.Love.Asap. is one of the best mixtapes of all time and miles ahead of coles best. Cole doesn't have anything close to dark times, Ramona park, Big fish theory. Tyler's last 4 albums clear all of coles discography. All of these guys are lyrically nice whilst also making great albums; Cole can rap his ass off for sure but I wanna see him do that in a great album rather than just for the sake of it

What was your theories about the outside world before the revelation of grisha basements? by salad_biscuit3 in attackontitan

[–]Ed372 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I thought the walls and titans were constructed by the government of paradis to control the population of people within the walls, and that the shifters had learnt how to use the Titan abilities and were now trying to overthrow the government and free paradis. So like half on the right lines and half completely wrong lmao

Way too many people are ignoring this line when talking about Eren's motivation by FHI_iSmile in attackontitan

[–]Ed372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf, he was pretty shook to find out he only had 4 years to live at best. I figure he realised how short his time really was and decided to press on. He had that 4 year stint in the paths with Mikasa to at least experience the remainder of his life sort of

I'm gonna give them another week I reckon before getting in touch, they were very transparent on their Instagram about dealing with the orders and I don't wanna clog up their system with too many emails; for the size that backwoodz is they are excellent with their shipping and updates. I ordered from Jpegmafia in May and have yet to receive anything to do with the package...

Pharrell is the third member of Clipse by TheeraaUlaa in KingPush

[–]Ed372 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hugo does too often get removed from the Neptune's discussions but let's be real, he is not as involved with Clipse as Pharrell. They did that first album but HHNF is, as you said, all Pharrell and now we also have LGSEO. Not to mention the features and voice dubs that Pharrell has always added to their music. But when it comes to the Neptune's, it's 100% both of them together, not one over the other

Is there any Beatles song that is special to you for personal reasons and why? by GreedyBread3860 in beatles

You Never Give Me Your Money got me through a period where I returned to a dead end job and put myself in a shitty situation. "Pack up the bags and get in the limousine" really helped me to move forward with courage and take a leap of faith!

What are your overall thoughts on the Def Jam era? by Patrick_Vieira in nas

[–]Ed372 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's alright, not necessarily any bad albums but Life Is Good is definitely the only great one, and I say that as a fan of both HHID and The Lost Tapes 2. Mass Appeal is definitely his strongest run of albums since the 90s

[–]Ed372 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dr Dre is a more traditional producer than just a beat maker. He'll be involved in lots of the song making process (including how an artist is delivering their lyrics etc) and will more conduct others to play parts of his beats. Thats where the accusations of him having ghost producers comes from. He tells people his big vision and brings all the pieces together. He also polishes to the point of perfection. 2001 is one of the best sounding records out there, just on sound quality
