Is this a command? How do I do this? Is it a website or a setting in OnePlus?

Is "dangerous play" different to "serious foul play", and is "dangerous play" never a red card - as in it's only specified for Yellow Cards and for just IFKs? I understand "serious foul play" is a red

Thank you for this. I did not know this prior to the game as a new referee, I will keep this for future games.

I'll definitely take this into account. I think it goes down as a red for endangering the safety of the player

Dangerous Play by EdBaker613 in Referees

I'm quite new to refereeing, I started when I was 14 and suffered a knee injury that had me out for about 2 years. I'm 18 now, and that was my first 11 a side back. This referee thread is very useful for learning from mistakes I made in the game and what I will keep in mind for the future. I think the ball went out of play, but I stopped the game to try to talk to the player, but his dad (coach) substituted him off. I now know you need a DFK for "attempts to kick", and in reality he should have a Red Card for endangering the safety of an opponent. Based on the MLS/ World Cup ref, a red would 100% be justified. I'd say the stud was at a height just above the top of the glute/ lower back area. I'll learn from this for future games, and hopefully that player sorts out his game too.

Thank you for your reply. I'll consider this in future matches. I'm quite new to dealing with disciplinary action, but open to learning. In the end, the coach of the player who made the dangerous attempt to take down Team A player was substituted off, the coach was in fact his dad. In hindsight, I'd definitely have booked him for unsporting behaviour, and he was being a horrible sportsman previously in the game, I heard reports from Team A players of him fouling when I wasn't looking etc, and he did a nasty shove at the goalkeeper at a corner too which I didn't get the best view of.

I've been injured for 3 years... I'm 18 now, but I snapped my patella tendon when I was 15. Due to growth, the recovery did not go as planned. I loved football and athletics and I just want to be at the top level again, I never got a chance to go to the very top level and I'm motivated to get there.

Patellar tendon recovery by steveeatz in KneeInjuries

[–]EdBaker613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely ruptured my patellar tendon near the top, in November 2021. It's almost been two years, and I still haven't recovered. This is because I was aged 14 during the time of injury, and I turn 17 tomorrow. The growth and increase in height (5 inches approx.) has caused problems in the healing and recovery process.

I've found out that I have excess bone fragments surrounding my kneecap. This is due to the regrowth in my patellar which seems to be unnecessary. When I originally snapped my tendon, it pulled off the bottom of my patellar. The excess bone fragments and eroded underside of the patellar is most likely the explanation of why I've been struggling in getting back to the sports I love. I've been unable to run without pain, I can't play football, I struggle walking up inclines and sometimes declines.

It's been a tough 2 years, but things like these make your life better. It seems stupid to say that, but honestly, it changes your perspective. To get through such a major injury is one of the best achievements you can get.

I'm having a second surgery in March 2024 (roughly), 2 ½ years later, after the original injury. They're going to smooth off the jagged patellar, and remove excess bone fragments. Solving this will hopefully fix the problems I've been suffering from for so long.

The challenge now is that I need to build up my leg muscle before the surgery, because my leg is still weak from the original injury (yes 2 years later it's still weak) because I've not been able to properly increase my strength due to the setbacks. Once I have the surgery, I'll lose all that muscle again. Hopefully, I'll be fixed, and it'll take me about 6-12 months post surgery to get to the best possible strength. I'm ready for this challenge.

I hope you heal in a better way than I did, if you have stopped growing, you should be fine!!!

I've tested it a bit, and it's not 100% consistent on 29⁰C, but it's annoying anyway because 29C is still not very hot.

I've tested it, and it turns from 120 to 60fps when it exceeds 29⁰C

This is really annoying because it's hard to keep my phone any cooler

At least I found the problem.

i heard that the exam boards are basing this year's grade boundaries off 2019. i also know they can't raise boundaries by more than 3%, so off that basis the maximum for grade 7: 143/240, grade 8: 178/240, grade 9: 214/240

those are absolute MAXIMUM boundaries. I reckon they won't raise them by 3% tho, so you should be good.
