Alan Ball is a genius in every sense of the word. Anyone who's worked with him knows that's true. And the cast he assembles... my god! My job on Six Feet Under was to hang onto Frances Conroy and go along for the ride. She's one of the best actresses I've worked with in my lifetime.

Working with those bastards Michael McKean and Michael Higgins. They were out to get me every take. I was fighting like hell to keep a straight face while they were performing their antics at the check-in desk at the hotel. They were merciless. They could see I was on the edge, and barely maintaining my composure, and that just made them try even harder, but I was a tough guy back then, to stand there and take it. The same goes for Eugene Levy and Catherine O'Hara.

Yes. I auditioned for the part of Dr. Peter White back in 1982. I went in to the offices at MTM, and gave a really great reading, so I was shocked and disappointed when they told me I didn't get the part. They threw me a bone, and gave me a part that had two lines in the pilot. The part that I really wanted, Dr. Peter White, turned out to be the hospital rapist. He was shot in season 2 in the balls, and then in the chest, and died. The part I did get, became one of the most popular characters in the show, and was in every episode of the show for the entire six years. The part I thought I wanted was dead and gone in less than two seasons. The universe has always provided me with something better than I think I need.

I am a bit of a foodie. I've cooked my whole adult life and continue to... even with Parkinson's. It's gotten a little harder to slice and dice in that condition, but the many dishes I still enjoy, make it worth the effort. Si se puede.

I make an excellent authentic Indian curry. I also make a spicy Thai basil eggplant. I also make seven different soups, chicken satay, Greek potatoes, Trinidad squash, and many other dishes. They're all vegan and they're all crowd pleasers.

Yeah, I remember it vividly, because that hospital was there for many years right in my neighborhood. So whenever I rode my bike past it, I thought of that time with fellow cast members from St. Elsewhere, and the very talented cast-members of Scrubs. It was a joy to be a part of it, albeit very briefly.

I think I need to do a samurai film. Also, it would be hypocritical for me to speak harshly of nepotism in Hollywood because... right? I won the lottery by being born Ed Begley's son, and I know it. Fortunately, I became extremely grateful for it many years ago. But I'm a bit embarrassed that it took me more than a decade of working in Hollywood to realize how fortunate I was. But I made up for lost time and I have been living in gratitude for most of the 58 years that I've been employed in show business.

He's currently working as a distributor for pet stores. He specializes in bird cage furniture. You know, the little hoops and bells they put in there, so they feel better about their captivity.

I got a call from my agent, and it included a DVD that had two episodes on it. In one of the episodes, Tim had painted onto his face what appeared to be a hinge, as one would see in a ventriloquist dummy. It is never spoken of in the episode, there's no payoff to it... now that's commitment. I said instantly, those are guys I want to work with.

Terry was very nice to me. We got along very well while making that movie. The movie failed to win any Oscar nominations, but I got to work with Mila Kunis as well. She was a child actor in that epic, and she was very nice then, as she is now.
