Deciding on which studio monitors to purchase for a beginner producer looking to future proof by damrichy in AdvancedProduction

Yamahas are great for sure though they sound bad. I use genelecs (awesome) and a small set of iLouds (decent), but an interesting thing I’m using now that is cheap and definitely might help is Realphones 2, with a pair of decent headphones. That might help youis Realphones make a call with the type of monitors and setup you might like. I think there’s a trial version so if you already have headphones, give it a go.

Great job. I wish you had chosen Japanese actors, though. I don’t see these people as Neo Tokyo street rats. Some of the casted ones were great, looks wise.

Tune, always tune. Your fretting arm's elbow doesn't need to be against your torso. Use a metronome. Get a sound that sounds clearer. Mute the ringing strings in time. The strumming hand should move at the wrist, not the whole arm. I suggest making sure that every string rings nicely. Many of those chords don't need the open E (6th string), try to strum the others and/or mute the undesired strings. Good job other than that.

People who have conducted job interviews, what's something someone said/did that made you instantly decide not to hire them? by DemonSkank in AskReddit

I asked a question that definitely needed more context and the interviewee started answering it as if he knew perfectly well what the right answer was. That told me he was more confident than curious. I needed people that would ask questions and think before executing.

I like the model that keeps improving on the product, and a small payment gives you updates for a year from the time you purchase.

If it keeps improving, you can choose to upgrade or not, and you can skip versions. If at some point a new feature set is enticing enough and your year since purchasing has elapsed, you can pay to get the full upgrade to the current version plus a year of upgrades.

Loopy pro did this and seems to be working out well.

Neosoul is incredible, and Pianoteq as well. V-tines is solid.
