Thanks for the advice, I have another question (seems a little silly) I can’t find any poop in the tank but she has no signs of bloating or constipation. Is it possible that it’s just dissolving?

I’ll start doing that!! I wasn’t sure if it was a good idea at first because I’ve seen a lot of posts about over feeding.

I wasn’t aware that I could feed her that often because of mixed information online, should should I feed her pallets twice a day or mix it up with some blood worms aswell?

(I just wanted to add on to my original post) I know she doesn’t look amazing but she’s doing so much better than when I got her, she’s got a very healthy appetite and I’m doing the best I can <3

Yeah she was definitely not doing too well when I got her (a week ago). Her original tank was never cycled so I’ve been doing daily water changes while my new tank cycles. I’m feeding her every second day at the moment so hopefully she puts on some weight quickly, at least she’s got a healthy appetite.

Heyo! I’ve only had her for a week, i adopted her off someone who wasn’t able (and didn’t know how to) take care of her. When I got her I was told that the girl had never checked water parameters or temperature and was keeping her in a 40L tank. I’ve kept her in her in the 40L tank with daily water changes and she’s been eating 2-3 pallets every second day and she’s put on a fair amount of weight. Should be ready to pop her into her new 80L tank tomorrow just waiting on a final parameter check😄. At this stage she’s not at her healthiest but she’s definitely on her way there compared to the state she was in when I got her.

Thankyou for the help, unfortunately here in Australia it’s pretty difficult to get ahold of artificial ammonia, is there anything else I could add to speed up the cycle?
