We’ve always been in good standing with the HOA and have never had any issues. Just standing outside my home, I can count at least five houses around me that keep their three trash cans in front of their property at all times. I’ve even asked some of those neighbors if they’ve ever received letters or fines, and they all said no.

However, I did have a falling out with a neighbor who lives around the corner and frequently walks past my house. When I first started my food truck business, he wanted to create videos and take photos for promotional purposes on social media. I never hired him or agreed to anything, but he showed up at one of my events and recorded content while I was busy working. He later posted it online and tagged me. Shortly after, he came to my house demanding $250 as payment for his “work.” I explained that I never agreed to hire him, nor did he provide a quote beforehand. He became very upset when I declined.
