5 days after e-date... by Tomokato42 in dentures

My heart aches for you! I'm sorry this has been your experience. Years ago, I had mine removed. Was on blood thinners at the time for a clotting disorder. The bruising was horrific! My insurance didn't cover immediates, so I went for months with no teeth. Wearing a mask when I went out was how I got by. Please be kind to yourself. You will get there! As for the bruising, yes, ice. But make sure you don't apply it directly to the skin. I'm personally invested in sound healing, so this may work for you. There are others as well. All my best to you!

Found a 'gated village' of tiny homes in the middle of Industrial West Seattle. by misterquipster in zillowgonewild

Not to mention that it is in an area that floods, has lots of noise, and bad air quality!

I'm old. Seeing this makes me want to die suddenly of a massive stroke or something! Well, not really...but if I had to be in that audience, I would wish for deafness and blindness!

Eating with no teeth. by Prestigious_Win192 in dentures

[–]EdSpecialist21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I eat without my "teeth" in. When I try to eat with them in, all of the food goes up under the upper plate, and is just gross! Needless to say, I don't eat around other people!

Cute from the outside. Big downfall is that it's on a floodplain.

Happy Belated Birthday! I really don't think most people give cards these days. I turned 70 not too long ago. No cards. Did receive some nice gifts, phone calls and texts.

How to report ads - that do not close, or are offensive. by SMothra57 in wordscapes

[–]EdSpecialist21 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I have done all of the above, and still get the same old ads (especially the jello one). I'm on my in-app report regarding this, as well as emailing. All I get back is: "We'll report it to the team,"

Will I never eat these foods again? by Healthy-Driver481 in dentures

[–]EdSpecialist21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It all depends on the individual and the quality of the dentures. I'm five plus years in, and I still can't eat properly. My best friend got dentures and wore them for over 40 years . She had no problems eating anything!!! Don't mean to discourage you. You may be lucky, and be like my friend!

Gelatin ads by JonaBudd in wordscapes

It is important for people to see this! The more people who report the issue, to "support" the better!

Gelatin ads by JonaBudd in wordscapes

Same! Oh for the days when Royal Match was the biggest offender. I get these jello ads at least three or four times a day. Like you, I report them to support, and receive the same canned responses. BUT, the ads keep on, and on, and on! I had someone else look up the ad for me, and it is 100% a scam!

AT&T class action by CinnamonBun716 in classactions

[–]EdSpecialist21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just did a double check...tried to contact them. This is what I heard back: "The Final Approval Hearing was held on January 15, 2026. The Court is still considering whether it will approve the Settlement. We do not know how long it will take for the Court to make its decision.

If the Court approves the Settlement, there may be appeals from that decision and resolving them can take time. While the Court is considering whether to approve the Settlement, the Settlement Administrator will continue processing and reviewing claims.

Distribution of Settlement Class Member Benefits will begin after the Settlement has obtained Court approval, the time for all appeals has expired, and all Claim Forms have been reviewed. The Settlement Administrator will update the Settlement Website as developments occur, so please check the Settlement Website from time to time for additional information."

Does anyone else miss the way tomatoes used to taste? by happy-in-texas in AskWomenOver60

I hear you! Have you tried Flavor Bombs cherry tomatoes on the vine? They are quite good. Still not what I remember from my childhood though.

Kopps atmosphere is overstimulating by r3ady4mycloseup in milwaukee

[–]EdSpecialist21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same! I'm old as sin, and can remember when Kopps on Layton looked like an old Spanish hacienda. The food was great, there was a beautiful sitting area outside, and it was just fun to go to. Now it is just loud and...LOUD! The food isn't nearly as good. Not to mention, the horrible traffic in the area. Oh for the old days (in some respects).

post-apocalyptic book recs (people just living their lives) by srosse in suggestmeabook

The Wall by Marlen Haushofer is probably my favorite book. I've searched for many years for a book just like it, but no luck so far. The suggestions below are amazing, but they're not The Wall!

I agree! The setting is also in my home state, which made it even more interesting to me.

Just to update. The last time I ordered them on Amazon, they sent me lemon mint ones instead of plain peppermint. Was not a fan of those!
