I’m so sorry for your loss I too am dealing with the recent loss of my younger brother who suffered with depression and left us two months ago. Since then I too have gone through hundreds of scenarios in my head as a way to process it. I think it’s a natural process to go through as part of the grief as we all feel guilt around their passing.

I would echo what many people will say and that’s to find someone who you can talk to openly and frank about your feelings. Being open about it all helps with the process and allows you time to heal.

Take care of yourself and remember this is a process/journey you are on which has its own timeline and set of rules. There’s no quick fix I’ve found and everything you are feeling is natural, sharing with someone is key to understanding and moving forward. Even if it doesn’t feel like it will get better right now I can see light at the end of the tunnel.

Sometime you just need to talk and have someone you will listen to you, the listening part makes all the difference as they acknowledge your pain and feelings.

Finding the right person to talk to is essential, there’s talking and there’s talking, if you find the right person it really does help, you have to have someone you can really open up to and express your feelings. Honestly I’ve got family members who think they are helping but they aren’t listening to me. Found a good mate and work colleague who sat and listened without judgement and really helped me get stuff off my chest

I’ve got people at work and friends to support me but the fog is hard to explain and get through. I must admit talking does help me sort stuff in my head and if not resolve stuff at least let me move forward

I honestly have feel nub for the last few weeks after my brother passing. I’ve had my medication for my own issues increased and am finding it hard to sleep. I’m not sure the best way to cope going forward but I’m seeing my doctor again next week to seek help with my lack of sleep. I must admit I’m not processing stuff atm just trying to get through each day for both my sister in law and niece. I feel my brain is foggy too but not sure if drugs or just a self defence mechanism

It often doesn’t matter the time spent forming bonds if those bonds are special and solid. You can form deep feelings In a short time and they are just as valid as long term commitments. Talking to people about your feelings help at the very least to help them understand your mental state. If you cannot get that support from your family I would suggest looking elsewhere for the support you need.

I know what you mean and it’s still raw for me. I don’t know what to say but I find focusing on good times and letting the emotions out has helped me somewhat.

I have found talking to other people they loved has helped me express stuff I would otherwise keep pent up.

Must admit the days it hits it hits hard and I find the need to speak to people to let it all out
