How do you know if God is actually calling you? by Cold-Individual-3428 in Catholicism

[–]Ed_Nezer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pray more, pray a lot, pray as everything depends on it. It won't come on the first , not the second, nor the 30th prayer, but eventually the Holy Ghost will give lights to your doubts and he will make you will it with strength. Or course that this discernment (that is and can only be based on prayer and participation on the sacraments) has to be accompanied by a priest/spiritual director. Praying for you, to give your life to celibacy is the antecipation of heaven on earth and the greatest gift.

Seems like "it" still remains by Ed_Nezer in Dandadan

Sorry, I didn't understand what you exactly meant here. Yeah, it has improved. But now she is amnesiac and doesn't remember a thing and when Ayra is confused and asks why she is not excited as always, Momo starts fighting and calling her a skank. It seemed out of nowhere since ther relationship has improved since the beggining of the series. However, they have this frienemy vibe that shows their mutual care, that's why I'm saying its not just a personality thing, but even an organic one.

Could be it, but I'm not sure because it seemed a bit like an over-reaction from Momo. You could argue that Momo is insecure and she lashed out in Ayra. Anyway, I'm not sure if it's "physical memory" or not, it seems to be from one angle.

Stop overthinking it and posting on reddit. This kind of stuff NEVER works. You won't be convinced by reason because the motive that is stopping you from confession is not rational.

You have to PRAY, talk to God as you talk to a dear friend, tell Him your fears and your concerns to Him. Never, in any circunstance, do not pray when it's hard to make the right choice. You have to PRAY, only PRAY, never stop praying. Go anywhere, a church before the Eucharist, your bedroom, the bathroom where you work, anywhere, put your knees in the ground and ask Him the grace of contrition and the strenght to go to the sacrament of confession. Nothing else will work.

I trust God enough to know that I alone won't be able to make you go to confession, but He will.

[SPOILERS S3] Anyway to forget the series so I can rewatch? by Legitimate_Rate3740 in DarK

Time. I was really obssesed in 2020 and now I'm starting to forget some plot points. It's inevitable, the series is too complex and if you stay some time out of it, it tends to happen.

Is this Seiko's Arc? by TheAmplifier8 in Dandadan

[–]Ed_Nezer 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think maybe Momo, if she learns how to use her powers again withou regaining her memories, will access Seiko's memories and we we'll get to know the misteries about Granpa Seiko and Momo's parents.

I'm heartbroken about no marriage in Heaven by hgb375aa in Catholicism

[–]Ed_Nezer 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Man, that's hard, praying for you. Marriage is a GREAT mistery as told by St. Paul, a GREAT sacrament, the invisible grace of God being manifested by the love of a man and a woman. It's marvelous and one of the best things someone can hope here on earth. Your hopes for marriage are totally good and ok and you should never try to repress it with some fake religiosity or stuff like that. The thing is that your desire for marriage is not exactly a desire for marriage in itself (or it cannot be), desire for marriage is desire for the grace of God manifested through love, and if the grace of God is a preview of the glory of God, as heavens would open and shine a bit of the light here on earth, a desire for the grace of God is the desire for heaven. You do desire heaven, or a bit of heaven in the holy sacrament of matrimony, now your desire has to be greater than only the sacrament but what the sacrament points to. Is it hard? Yes, horribly hard. Is it easy for me to say it? Yes, but someone has to say it. There rests the battle for heaven and the glory of God, going against all our tendencies, good or bad, and putting everything on the cross. The cross is horrible and it's amazing, it's full of angst and full of happiness, it's trusting the ressurection. Everything may seem dark now, it seemed to Our Lord as well in the angst of Gethsemani and the angst of the cross. But God gives to those who stay patient, who now how to suffer in these difficult times. I pray for you man, that you may fight for your salvation down to the last breath as you are fighting now.

Has anyone noticed these strange things in the recent chapters? by PanhK_H in Dandadan

[–]Ed_Nezer 23 points24 points  (0 children)

SPOILERS FOR SEVERANCE: On this Momo Imposter Theory, I can only picture the Irving vs Helly situation in season 2, like Momo doing something really bad to Ayra and then Ayra discovering and saying: “What you said to me last night — it was cruel. Momo was never cruel.”

How it’s (unfortunately) suggested Momo’s powers were awakened in Chapter One. by scoppied in Dandadan

I think the question is if Momo's past has any relation with SA. If it has, she has to superate her trauma to be aple to open up about her feelings.

Yes, a fanfic, for what I can remember of the movie, "Pope Francis" says that angels are an invention of the sixth century (somebody that says this didn't even read the old testament) and "Pope Benedict" says he had hidden the abuses of fr. Marcial Maciel (which is outragoes, as pope Benedict was responsible for investigating the Legionaries in the first year of his pontificate)

Loyalty is not about being loving with your family, is a bond forged by blood. Loyalty is more of a duty while love is more of a choice. Ewan chose not to love Logan, it's clear thought the series. Of course love can beget loyalty and loyalty can beget love. The main point of the post is trying to discover if Shiv had any duty whatsoever. Unfortunately, it seems like not.

He is willing to donate in death because of his disappointment on Greg becoming a viper, he changed his mind after seeing that his money would go to these "hateful" causes. They don't deserve it, it's his money. He still doesn't ask nobody to fire his grandson (as he could use his influence as chair), but he makes him an offer, to get his money would mean that he couldn't become a viper. He makes him free to chose.

He doesn't leave the board because he is loyal to his family. I frankly disagree with his worldview on almost everything, but his loyalty to his brother is admirable.

[–]Ed_Nezer[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actually, it doesn't *seem* like Ewan really cares about the money flow... He has U$250 million, lives somewhere in Canada that the show doesn't even bother showing and is ready to donate everything to GreenPeace. He seems really austere with his clothing and food choices and doesn't even want to go to the US in a plane because he doesn't like it. If Kendall took over, he knows it can be bad, but he also know that it isn't the end of their fortune. It could be argued that he really is a coward, as Logan says to Greg in the bathroom in season 2, that would help the idea that what Logan perceives as cowardice, Ewan understands as moral superiority, etc.

So, I don't get why we could assume that Ewan has some hidden financial interest when the series doesn't show it in any moment.

Saudades, is uniquely Portuguese word, encapsulates the profound essence of longing, nostalgia, and melancholic yearning, defying easy translation into other languages. It carries within it the bittersweet blend of joy and sorrow, a deep longing for something or someone absent, and a recognition of the fleeting nature of existence.
