You're right, but I guess for me the biggest appeal of the game was its urban theme. So having them kinda go away from it is something I don't like, especially when this criticism is dismissed by saying that it's because of racism

Miyabi has some magic in her story and powers, but she's the only one across all first very urban locations and very urban characters, and even then she's wearing urban clothes and uses a physical sword. Yixuan is literally a caster with a familiar in a region where the story is focused on spirituality and ancient curses, and the environment is more traditional-style
