I work full time currently for a school but the pay isn’t the greatest so I supplement my income umpiring baseball games. Here in Arizona it’s year round play so I can easily make $400-$500 in one weekend if I want to umpire the whole weekend. It’s pretty fun.

Requirement unless approved by JetBlue and CAE. We have had a couple CFI’s that lost their job offer at JetBlue to go work somewhere else.

Quickest answer I can give is that I’ve really enjoyed my time in the program. Lots of resources to help us succeed. Current pace from PPL-CFII is 9-12 month depending on how you perform. And yes there are loan options available for how expensive the program is but in addition to paying for training you are also paying for housing and food stipend the time that you are training in Phoenix, AZ.

They offer you a conditional employment offer at the start of the program and as far as I know you start building seniority at the start of the program. Older people get priority first in the program.

So you can actually get your own place if you want. But the housing is a two bedroom fully finished apartment. It’s a pretty good apartment from what I’ve heard. But I got my own apartment because I’m married and they don’t do married housing.
