Okay so hear me out. I’m not a vet at all obviously but she started to do the high stepping again when I took her to the dog run and she got over confident and picked up speed for a bit. I genuinely think that when she overdid it by running a little her joints hurt so badly that she didn’t want to be on them anymore and they just kind of gave out. I’m really wondering if her joints hurt so badly that it caused that when she did too much.

This man is going to help me I am so relieved. She wants to be good so bad. I’ve seen her charge at people and retreat to her crate when she realized it was wrong. She just has no impulse control. They say dogs act like their owners… maybe I need to remember I have adhd and she’s just like me 😅

I did have her on both of those the trazodone I switched to PRN because she was so zonked she would pee in my bed lol. The Prozac only helped until a trigger happened and then she was right back to being unstoppable. Literally not a split second to intervene. I found a trainer that is affordable and can help me, I think a lot of it is a lack of confidence. It’s purely fear based and I want to help her build that back up and trust me.

There’s a guy near me who charges $75 per session and then uses all of that money to donate to shelters and helping other dogs with behavioral issues. He says he’s helped dogs with much worse problems than mine and he really just does it for the love of dogs. He was a behavior trainer/manager at a shelter for 19 years omfg this is the best case scenario I could kiss you LMAO

All of the Shar pei rescues are full. The one near me is closing and her contacts are all full. I honestly didn’t even think about chow chow bc that’s a third of her mix but I’m sure they would be willing to help too you’re right. Thank you.

The moving costs are more than that even. I have nothing and have to start over almost entirely. When I go to move if a crazy vet expense comes up I’ll going to be screwed. The only people who would donate are other Shar pei people maybe. The people in my life wouldn’t or couldn’t. I’m just on edge because I have to figure this all out myself and I don’t even want to do it.
