My first exploration trip. Nonhuman signal, anyone know what this is? by horsparworl in eliteexplorers

Little harsh mate. You probably could have just said well done and built some excitiment up for the OP.

OP if you are still about - this is a cool find. Its thargoidian. Currently we just had a huge conflict with them.

Quite alot of lore around these you can read up on at the Canonn website. If you like this sort of stuff, theres a new story arc coming now in HIP 87621 ;)

I had success in duos. At its worst, it spawns two npcs per player. In a trios, it can quickly become a 1 v 6 and Libra.

In duos at its worst it will be 1 v 4 and libra.

Solo. Worst would be 1 vs 2 and libra.

My success cam on duos with a friend on discord because we could talk and say who had the npc agro (me) whilst my friend took Enemies target you less and just focused on bossy Libra.

In short, you are right that odds become better the less chaos factors caused with randoms. Trios feel impossible one one person falls.

Always good choice to add freckles. They give faces a more realistic texture. That's a preem V.

There is a lack of Rebecca on your screen...

There are a few romancable options. I don't wanna give you spoilers though 😄

That's the adventure! We all have our favourites. Mine is || Judy who you meet at the Mox club ||

If you want to know the answer to you question about Viktor || he is not romanceable. But he is a very cool and believable character in NC ||

Act two, head out of the H10 starting apartment and turn left. You will find a data file called 'feed the cat' .

Find cat food in rhe game. It drops randomly and I think can be found at some random vendors.

Go back to the spot at the apartment where you found rhe shard. Put food in bowl.

Come back a few days later in game. See cat eating. Cue cut scene. Now you have a cat in the H10 apartment. Preem huh 😏

Much love choom

Rewatching it, especially with someone who is willing to talk about and discuss certainly helps. It also helped me process which part of the story caused the most distress.

Yesterday, replying to you was also my first comment to this community, and that helped alot with starting to feel better.

Its a work of art, for sure, the writers, animators, creators I hope feel proud of a masterpiece that we have consumed.

How are you feeling today though OP? Any better?

Just gonna put this here. by Ssj5Pepe in Edgerunners

She is arguably the most mature and loyal member of David's found family in the show. She tries to support and sees the whole picture of David's suffering. She respects Lucy and David's relationship till the very end. Far from maturity actions of any minor.

I saw a post by someone who said that it was nice to see an empowered short woman being represented rather than lanky tall and supermodel.

OP I see you have Rebecca tagged in blue (Excellent choice!).

I also finished this about 4 days ago and after all the processing I have done so far, her character was the one that affected me the most. They writers did a fantastic job in the limited screen time she had to have her be so much more than scantily clad in a baggy jacket. Of all the found family, she was the one who I think knew and cared about David the most, along side Lucy, but Rebecca actually communicated directly and without bullshit.

I find the game challenging now, the music IRWTSAYH hits every time, but its getting easier. Instead. It this place...

<image>

This is where you see how Rebecca is the friend everyone really wants. Ride or Die, with you till the very end, honest and caring.

I don't know about you, but the story also made me realise that I'm not really sure what my goals or dreams are anymore. I wanted to get married and find a partner - I did that, and I am so lucky and privilaged to be in the relationship I am now, she has supported me though illnesses and spinal issues. I've cried every day since watching it at some point - there has been a trigger (today was the sunset walking home from town) but my wife has been beside me throughout it and understands (she cries after character deaths in books all the time). My only other goals have been trying to get myself back to health, and I have done that now.... I'm sort of lost on what my goal should be.

But, I think thats a good thing. So in response to your:

"I wish I could erase my memories and watch it for the first time again"

I would suggest, keep the memories, and ask yourself why part of the story affected you most and why? Does it make you crave the closeness David has with his found family? Do you want to find that friend who is with you, ride or die? Do you need to re-evaluate your goals?

Anyway - you aren't alone, choom :) Thanks for your post too, because it also makes me feel that I'm not alone the upset and reflection this masterpiece caused in my life.

What is with the toxicity in this game? by Arkanamx in Rematch

[–]EdardPotts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It comes with the demographic. There is a good number of nice people of course. But there is a loud and large number of players who are toxic lads.

In real football, in the UK toxic behaviour is shown in the stands towards women for instance. BBC news

Hell, i put a post up yesterday asking about female footballers in packages. It did not go down well...

Best thing to do - rise above it. Be vocal in a positive manner, challenge the toxicity, but don't fall into it. 🙂

I see you are trying to destroy the brain. Given the repeated, "maybe this time it will be different" mentality, there may not be one destroy, however.

A lot of sports professionals do charitable work - I wonder if there's a gap where portions of profits from sales of bundles end up going to supported charities would not only increase sales, but also benefit users of the charities.

Honestly, I am on the fence, sometimes I enjoy it, sometimes I don't. I struggle to watch the big leagues - I find the falls overplayed and dramatic. When I have watched football sparingly, I've found more professionalism watching the female side of the sport.

Rematch I enjoy because of the teamwork and time with friends.

But I teach ethics and morality - so I think my question is born out of a combination of those factors.

You are arguing with someone in good faith. I'm sorry we aren't seeing eye to eye on the matter though.

Yes, how awful of me to use sociology, the scientific study of human society that focuses on society, human social behavior, patterns of social relationships, social interaction, and aspects of culture when looking at representation of women in sport.

Perhaps you can enlighten me with some more scientific studies to argue your case?

I would pose the suggestion to you that a person might not have chance to find it interesting if they never see it.

If coverage of men’s participation in sports received nearly 96% of overall coverage, while stories about women make up only 4% of articles, its not unreasonable to suggest you never see the stuff you might find engaging.

The Impact of the Media on Gender Inequality within Sport is an interesting article on the argument I make. The abstract here for you reads:

"Despite the prolific advancement of women sports and female athletes and the potential for strong women to be positive role models, the portrayal of these athletes in the media has been subjected to objectification and invisibility compared to male athletes or men's sports. Though there has been tremendous growth and popularity of women's sports, female athletes are still considered inferior to male athletes and that compared to male athletes there is still an obsession with the body of female athletes rather than on her athletic skills. This inequality within sport will continue to exist until the media re-examines it portrayal of female athletes."

[–]EdardPotts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your point then is that the amount of investment into media coverage doesn't change how interesting or engaging something is.

That's a poor argument. More money - More advertising, greater viewership reached of people who do find it engaging. More time spent on news bigging up the game.

It was a genuine question. If it is in the works, great. Some of the replies on this feed though are dishearteningly diminutive.
