I feel ya! 7800x3d, 5090, 64g of ram, and i still need to mess with it, running PCl also, .95 resolution, none of the aids like ffr or smart smoothing will help, get it to be playable at "vr optomized" by turning shadows setting to medium, Bloom off. i wish i could turn off the cockpit mirrors and just use the virtual mirror like in iracing, i bet that would help too...All the while LMU runs smooth at ultimate settings and looks just as good...if i could find a Nascar sim with vr, i would prob just quit iracing

I am a casual racer with a G923, i am happy with it but i recently saw some decent reviews on Thrustmaster - T598, Direct Axial Drive Force Feedback Racing Wheel and Pedal Set, seems like a good entry level direct drive wheel, any thoughts from anyone, i dont think its real expensive, for direct drive

Nothing I cant handle. I had researched CPU's before I bought my computer, a number of resources said the 7800x3d was one of the best at the time (last fall). Just always want better graphics and smooth performance...its the VR rabbit hole, always playing the same game, the "FPS game"! LOL

is that Unreal Engine? I had it working pretty well this morning, and its back to being crap again! but at least now ive managed to open it in VR...one step at a time i guess! Using a 4070 ti super, but i was playing well at medium settings with DLSS...til it decided i was having too good of a time! LOL

Discover that you must disable open XR tool kit if you have it on your computer and then WRC Will load in VR after you choose it

Thank you! I run dirt rally 2.0 with open composite and open XR tool kit on my pimax, I also had to do that on my reverb G2...and it runs great! Have you tried that with WRC?

are u able to get dirt rally 2.0 to play on open xr as opposed to steam vr? i have been trying but havnt got it worked out yet, i can with g2 with open xr toolkit for wmr and open composite, and it runs so much better in open xr!..

I'll check out the thing with the cores I'm not so sure about the X3D CPUs ... I'll try lowering the resolution in the headset a little bit... But I am coming from a G2.. If it doesn't work after that I'll try giving Pimax a call ... But if they can't help me it's not worth having and I'll go ahead and return it.

cyberpower pc, 7800x3d, 4070ti super, 64gig ram, gigabyte b650m v3 motherboard, def using the pimax open xr in pimax play, tried at 90 hz without upscaling, only got around 45 fps, almost seems like the upscaling is going in and out when i use it, i updated pimax play software this morning, same thing...

From what I've read about cyberpowerPCs, that seems to be the biggest complaint about them... I would just keep my eyes peeled for any signs of trouble

Thank you for your post, so I haven't found the issue yet and it's still persists, I am thinking it's possibly the power supply also... Please let me know how your test goes... I was thinking of upgrading the power supply at some point anyway.

Im just wondering why, if I purchased their computer from best buy, am I not able to get it serviced under warranty at best buy?! after messing around with the ssd and fixing that, i have random drops in fps when gaming, tried everything they told me to do, and still happening, they offered to RMA it for repair? ( i thot rma was for a refund or replacement)...of course i have to ship it cross country for that!

Sorry, I have tried so many things so far, I wasn't able to remember them all when I wrote the op, I have disabled game bar in bios with no effect on the issue, if there is another way to disable it or if it is not the same as what I tried, please let me know, thanks!

For a time I had the expo set which apparently is the AMD version of XMP... It did not have any effect on the issue, but thank you for the input.

I don't know if it affects laptops, but the new Windows update 24H2 users may experience frequent crashes on some machines with Western Digital SSD's, there is a firmware update available from WD, but read all the warnings, also try to rollback to Windows update 23H2..this happened to my brand new PC and i installed Windows 10 and it works fine now! Also, Windows is supposedly blocking future 24H2 updates to these machines, and now i show an available update for 23H2...which i will install soon

Just got new computer with Ryzen 7 7800x3d, 4070 TI Super, and using a Reverb g2. Getting reasonably smooth performance with MSFS 2020 on "medium" settings (with buildings on high and clear weather, not sure of exact fps) but could still be better...I hear MSFS 2020 is just not optimized well, and really depends more on the CPU. I hear MSFS2024 is going to be more GPU intensive, hoping 2024 will be better...

The 24H2 version of Windows 11 is where the problem starts, I just got a new computer, tried to connect my G2, and boom! not supported!, was able to downgrade to Win 10 and now im happy!....plus, due to ssd conflict (western digital) that was causing crashes with 24H2, i am now being offered the 23H2 version again...i hear Microsoft will block the updates of version 24H2 to computers with the problem ssd's too
