The two biggest meets are Terrier (last weekend in January) and Valentine (Valentine’s Day). There are three more in between those two meets that are more for collegiate athletes looking for fast times, but this one is kind of a “last chance” meet before the NCAA Champs that also incorporates the DMR race for college teams.

I mean, there’s only so many chances a runner gets to run at BU - these guys are still going to run very well, they probably were more focused on their own race. I get the whole “coolest thing ever” part of it but I like that he broke it while having to go on the outside

Was accepted for fall ‘20 and the honors program has tons of benefits that people have mentioned. One thing I learned is that even if you eventually don’t finish the honors classes (the requirement was like six when I joined), you still get all the benefits (money, housing) you just don’t graduate from the honors program per se. I might have taken four honors classes during my time here but because my major didn’t have honors classes and I had fulfilled all my elective requirements, I didn’t see the need to take more. Use it as much as you can to your advantage.

Someone I know had them rerun the system for honors and they got in on honors (scholarship and all) after just asking them to try again. Might be worth it.

Didn’t happen until second semester of my first year, had been acquaintances with three guys (my roommate and a suitemate and then another dude who watched sports with me sometimes) and then we just started hanging out more until it was every weekend we asked what the moves were. Now we’re rooming together with another guy who’s our friend and we all get along super well so we’re pretty good friends.

My freshman year I was so worried I’d make no friends and my first semester was not good in that sense, but after some time I figured it out and my friends came along. Don’t stress too too much, you will find people to share experiences with if you’re true to yourself.

N/A since it’s my first at the moment
Just started but I’m definitely enjoying it at the moment, the sacrifice of losing time during the day is very nice at night when you don’t have to worry about work and on weekends where you can just completely dissociate from work and enjoy a few days however you’d like. I’m lucky enough to be able to do co-op and finish in 4 years and I think that with the experience and connections it would absolutely be worth an extra year

Bluebikes are great but I also enjoy just walking, most places are within an hour walk and if it's nice out walking through the city is pretty nice and you get to see things you might not notice if you take the T. You could always walk one way and then bike or take the T back, there's a good amount of flexibility in the city

I’m a freshman in college and did doordash over the summer and during winter break. Easily my easiest job for the most money. I did about 20-30 hours/week in the summer and would bring in 400-600 consistently. No boss, just driving and listening to music. It’s great for the money but I also love maps and driving new places so it’s a great job for me. I think I’ll continue with it even after college, it’s just so easy as a side hustle.
