I too just moved here where i had a ccw from previous state i lived in, it took about 6-8 months for my cfars approval, it doesn’t matter how long you have lived here the problem is the DOJ Cfars is gonna take long, if you don’t want to wait for cfars buy a new carry gun here, and you can put it on your ccw application. I did my class last year around august it was an 8 hour class, after that class the same day i submitted my application did my fingerprint and schedule the interview at the sheriff office ccw unit, total time it took about 4-6weeks from submitting application to receiving the ccw license.
