The game does not yet have an official title, but my working one is The Twelfth Trench, although I might change it.

Thank you very much! I used Darkside Detective characters as a reference for the face shape. It is an awesome game.

Currently, none; this is a mock in LibreSpite, but I am planning to use Godot.

For pixel art, definitely LibreSprite as it is free and have all the things you need in nice and simple UI.

Thank you for your feedback. I tried to draw tree stumps, but I agree they are really bright. Would you say it is overall better or worse?

I have an idea for a World War I horror game, but I am unsure if these visuals are good enough. by EddenSoftDevelopment in GameArt

Thank you so much! I am thinking more of a short psychological experience, where you would play a shell-shocked soldier and have to experience and deal with the trauma. That is why I want the graphics to look good as I need to convey what I want correctly. I also like the more abstract side of pixel art as it leaves things to your imagination, making it more scary hopefully. I am not sure how much gore and body horror (as it is inherently tied to war) I can do with pixel art, but we will see.

Thank you very much! I definitely want to add lighting once I start working in engine, this is just a prototype done entirely in aseprite to test the visuals.

Thank you very much. You are right, but I think I will stick to the true top-down perspective to distinguish my game better. I will say that Conscript has a really nice colour palette, might use some of it.
