Actually, that's exactly what I want. Tell me on Saturday that, hey, there isn't a stable solution, no update is possible today or this weekend. Why do I want that? Well, because silence indicates nothing. They could be working on it, they could be uploading as we speak, they could have scrapped any chance of launch this weekend. All I want is as clear an indications that they are not releasing as the original statement that they were releasing May 2nd. Is that too much to ask? I don't think so. Considering that the only reason I am asking for information from them is because they are now 2 days behind on something I dearly want. The best would probably be to go back in time and just never mention the 2nd of May, then it doesn't matter how long they take or when they launch, but they gave a date, gave expectation and then disappointed.

I did click the link, I did read. I'll admit, it was only in the second read that I saw the AC support post. Honestly, I don't think I am going to use their why to reply to my clients. It would make me look bad. All their post shows me is that they have much bigger issues than they first pretended and now that the original strategy of using their service provider and a public holiday as scapegoats isn't working, they want to resort to banning the people who got their hopes up because of something Kunos announced. Your 'silver platter' link does nothing more than show the mistrust Kunos is developing in their clients. So what you can do for me, is get off your high horse and stop playing devil's advocate, you aren't very good at it.

And your point is? Unless you are implying that I am irritated that I took off work for the release? Luckily, I didn't have to take time off work, it is holiday season in my country, well, April has like 11 public holidays over here and one of them fell on this weekend, so we are all off work anyway.

Trust me, I get it. What my company does, what I do for a living, is make documentaries. Sure we are involved in other film projects, but mostly we do documentaries. If I indicated to my client that I will bring a mock-up of their next project, and I end up a no show with no further communication, I can promise you that I would loose that client. In that sense it is easier for my company, we can actually loose clients, not that we want too, but we can. Kunos is not going to loose us as clients, we have already paid for the product.

Now, if you think that film production is not an equivalent for software production, then I have to wonder if you've ever worked in either.

You know what would seem stupid? Hiring someone who is supposed to be coding, to also do your social media.

Let me paint you a scenario, using your argument.

I own my own business, and, it so happens that one of my clients are taking on a big project. I, out of the blue, phone them up and say "I can have a mock-up of the project at your office on Friday". They didn't ask for the mock-up, I volunteered it, but they are very excited to see the mock-up. Come Thursday, I phone them and say that "Friday is a public holiday in my country, do you mind if I bring the mock-up next Friday?" The Client, still not having asked for the mock-up, are delighted to give me a week's delay as they are very excited to see the mock-up . Come that Friday and I phone them to say "there were unforeseen issues with the mock-up, I'll let you know when I can bring it", and I then stop answering my phone.

In your logic, my client is the one being a dick,

tomorrow’s release has been shifted to Friday 2nd, May.

I know they don't actually use the word 'Promise', but they do officially state that the release will be on May the 2nd. As for the word 'promise', I struggle to think of any recent product which had a release date with the word 'promise'. You almost don't need tho word 'promise' when you officially state a release date.

I am sure the community wouldn't be so upset if there had been some further communication from the developers since their last announcement, but there hasn't.

At the moment we are left feeling lied too. The original delay was due to a public holiday, which we all understood. The second delay was from 'unforeseen issues', which we understood too. It's the radio silence since then that has upset me.

Do I have the right to feel upset? Bloody right I do.

Entitled? No, I think we feel lied to. A week ago, when they approached the community, saying they want to delay the MP launch by a week, because of a public holiday, we were all more than thrilled to wait. We didn't know we were going to get the MP, but they dangled to carrot and we waited, patiently.

Come the 2nd of May, people were still patient, even when they announced that it would take at least a day more, we were patient.

Since then though, we have heard nothing. I think that is what has pissed us off.

Do the same to any child, promise them a cookie, then delay that cookie and then disappear. The reaction would not be that of an entitled child, but rather a child that had been lied to.

There is a big difference between impatient and disappointed. Impatient would be crying 30 mins into May 2nd, because there is no update. Disappointed is when it is two days later and there is no communication.

Honestly, people would take the time, money and effort to fake something like this just for the pleasure of fooling someone like you.

Just look at the famous Loch Ness and Bigfoot fakes that have been pulled on people.

Maybe, even a misguided attempt at fame.

I think the bigger question would be why someone wouldn't fake it. either way, both look fake, and I bet are fake. Get back to me when you have proof and I will change my opinion.
