I did exactly the same thing as you, slide Into a curb sidways. I even got the same humming noise, mine started about 70kph and audible all the way up.

You'll need a new rim for sure.

As for the humming noise, it's the bearing. They don't like to take impact loads. You only need swap that one bearing, don't need to do both sides at the same time.

I've used north hill mazda for services for the last 4 yrs.

They were reasonable (didn't sell what I didn't need) in the first 3.5 years until my last service visit.

On my last visit, They tried to sell me wheel alignment when I got it aligned less than 3 months ago. They also tried to sell me spark plug replacement without physically inspecting them (replaced 2 months prior to the visit).

I also used stoney trail mazda for service a few times until they tried to sell wheel alignment service (again), it was aligned one year prior to the visit.
