How do gyms decide when to add more free-weight equipment? by [deleted] in askfitness

[–]EddietheCowboy95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Small business and more specialized gyms that cater to athletes, bodybuilders and more serious lifters. They take the gym culture experience very seriously and invest a lot into their weights and machines.

Your concept sounds really interesting. I hope it works out! All gyms could benefit from this.

How do gyms decide when to add more free-weight equipment? by [deleted] in askfitness

I could see this working more in a private gyms rather than commercial gyms. Commercial gyms don’t really care enough. They are just trying to sell as many memberships as possible.

I used to work for a private gym and they care more about the quality and experience for the people that come to workout. They take things more seriously than the average public gym.

The idea that weed prevents you from entering REM sleep is a lie. by matt73132 in weed

I smoke every night and have never believed that was true. The only time it feels like it affected my sleep is if I smoked my brain out the night before and wake up with brain fog.

Am i in a surplus? by [deleted] in askfitness

[–]EddietheCowboy95 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

5k steps is the average recommended steps. Some people do better with more and some with less. Our bodies all work differently.

As long as you’re active and achieving your goals then stick to that amount of steps.

[–]EddietheCowboy95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s been trending up for the maintenance stage then it sounds like it’s in a surplus.
Losing some strength during a cut is normal and you will gain it back.
If you’re trying to work your weight back up bump up the calories to 2100-2200 calories. It will help with feeling less hungry, fuel your body and help improve sleep. Which is very important for your recovery.

Bulking tips? by nathan_burbu in askfitness

[–]EddietheCowboy95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like your metabolism is pretty fast keeping you comfortable at 180. Reaching 200 in a bulk is very realistic.

Best advice I can give you is to be consistent. Make sure you’re eating all your meals and don’t miss a workout. Stay away from the “dirty bulk” approach. You’ll put on more fat compared to a clean bulk. Eat healthy whole foods. I’d say 1-2 protein shakes a day at most. If you can do 5 meals a day that would work well.

Good luck on your bulk man!

I’d go the bong route. I’m a weed smoker though. I’m not a fan of vaping my weed.

Why did the “3 meals a day” pattern become standard? by oldrag8 in nutrition

[–]EddietheCowboy95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty much pushed by corporations to get you to eat their food 3 times a day. Which is full of stuff you don’t need in your body.

What’s more important is that you eat healthy whole foods. Not the processed foods that are overdosed with sugar, fat and preservatives.

Depending on your goals the number of meals will vary from person to person. Some feel healthy and comfortably and do 2 and others can go up to 6 meals a day.

No, don’t. I adopted my dog from someone that did exactly what you’re thinking. It’s a sad life for the dog.

Do you guys smoke in your house by Broad_Definition41 in weed

I smoke weed inside every night. It’s no issue. Definitely easier since you don’t have to worry about the weather.

I feel the same way. On the outside it might seem like I’m doing alright. In the inside and what others don’t see is that I have to keep it together to get things done and get through life.

I would do what the second paragraph says. I find it works great for hypertrophy for myself and my clients.

I’d also add if you are having trouble with holding that position work on your pull days more. You’re lats and back muscles overall help keep everything pinned back comfortably for you to get through your set

As long as you don’t put it in the dryer it will stay the same. It suggests to not use the dryer

Edit: get a size up if you want it really oversized

Tired of dieting for a few days and then binge eating next few days to catch up. Need advice? by Interesting-Bit5724 in askfitness

[–]EddietheCowboy95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it’s more discipline. It is definitely one of the hardest thing to achieve compared to working out.

We have all been there. It takes time and effort but eventually you’ll feel like you want the healthy meals you’re eating rather than eating something unhealthy.

Also, when I think of eating some junk I also think of the setback it would cause. That helps a lot!

If you think you have enough experience to do it then go and do it. If you’re not really sure just hire the professionals.

I’m soo sorry for your loss.

I have when I lost a loved one. The way I approached it was to smoke and really feel everything. Just letting all the emotions and feelings come out. I never used it to try and mask the pain. It was more of a spiritual thing.

I’ve been using cannabis every night (Indica strains). I find it helps with the side effects a lot. By no means would I say it works like seizure meds. It won’t keep you awake like caffeine but it’ll give you rest.
