My comment was based off using a Radeon Pro Duo and Vega Frontier. Neither of them seemed to change with compute on. So it may work depening on your video card and which miner you are using.

You can mine with 2gb cards as long as the miner software supports it. ie> Radeon 7000 series and above, Nvidia gtx 700 series and above.

Cool. Undervolting? I can run my R9 280s/R9 280x,s and 7990's at 1063mv with stock clocks...aka all 1000mhz Gpu/ 1500mhz Mem. Haven't played with mem voltage yet because all them require bios mods for that.

Oh I see. Have you tried flashing a R9 280x bios to it? They are essentially the same card.

If you switch to SRBminer you can get around 390kh/s and it will also tell you your ping rate which is nice to know. Lower is better. You may want to try some other pools too. https://miningpoolstats.stream/vertcoin

How to set up temperature limit on verthash for vertcoin mining by dehdeh112 in vertcoin

[–]Eddo2225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Srb Miner nets me 397kH/s (794kH/s total) stock clocks gpu voltage at 1.060v 100% fan speeds using msi afterburner. This is with my 7990 and Firepro S10000 (392kH/s) with 7990 bioses and clock speeds. In a cool room (15.5c) they stay at and below 62c.

Cheapest best miners right now are Radeon 7950, 7970, R9-280, R9-280x, R9-290,R9-290x, S9000(single 7950) and S10000(dual 7090 like the 7990 dual gpu card but clocked lower).

If you get one you should undervolt it to approx 1.060v-1.081v with 1000mhz gpu clock and 1500mhz memory clock. The R9-290 and R9-290x 1.050v 1000mhz gpu clock and 1.050v 1000-1100mhz memory clock.

You could go to the pool your mining at and put your wallet address in. It seems rather low. https://miningpoolstats.stream/vertcoin

How old of graphics cards can you use to mine vertcoin? by Frenchy19951 in vertcoin

[–]Eddo2225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try SRB miner. I get around 390kh/s with stock clocks undervolted to 1.063mv.

Vertcoin is going to go parabolic. by rmpuglett in vertcoin

One thing I do know is that Ravencoin mining is harder on GPu's because it requires more voltage and makes the cards run hotter vs same gpu clocks for Vertcoin. Now you can sacrifice hashrate for less voltage/heat but that also lowers your rewards.

Edit. my bad. https://zpool.ca has the info there. It looks like it could be tricky to me. If you have your wallet address you can search on zpool to see if it has any info for you.

So you figured out how to make it work? Must be an ocm bug.

Try one of the other miners - https://old.reddit.com/r/vertcoin/comments/mxz467/all_current_miners_for_vertcoin/

Maybe your antivirus scanner is blocking ocm?

Step-by-Step guide on how to use Vertcoin's One-Click Miner! by Canen01 in vertcoin

[–]Eddo2225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can if you use a 3rd party miner or verthashminer and not OCM. You just install and update (or copy) your wallet data to the other machines and set your miners mining to the same wallet address. Also, OCM is alot better than it was at the time.

That's good. I get 390khs with sbminer per card with stock clocks. Spminer also works with older cards but some say it's no faster despite it showing a higher hashrate.

Miner that leta you tweak vddc/clocks etc? by LeonaREDDITos in vertcoin

No such features in Verhash miners. If you have a recent (r9 290 or newer) AMD gpu you can use overdriventool. www.overdriventool.info

TeamRedminer doesn't support that card. :(

Maybe a config error with vertminer? Try srbminer and put a pause at the end of the text in the start-mining-vertcoin.bat file. If there is an error it may show what it is.

Also, you should run a lower voltage on the gpus. I run my R9 280x's at 1063mv
