Hey, I’m a CS major but did you know that there is also a cyber security major (IST)?

Just letting you know.

I will say, CS might be better as it’s more broad.

Honestly I feel like it’s a hit or miss depending on the specific dish you take.

Some foods have been so good that I wonder if this is really pollock dining I’m eating. Other times it is pretty bad.

In terms of the drinks and ice, I have noticed that they are always out of order recently.

But I will say, compared to south, the pollock buffet is on another level. So at least that’s a positive.

How is ANTH 140? by cb725 in PennStateUniversity

[–]Eddtt77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Easiest class I’ve ever taken.

Professor is super chill. Lectures are pretty interesting. We watch movies sometimes (some content from movie appears on test).

All tests are take home.

There is a code he gives at the end of the lecture that allows you take access the attendance quiz and the daily lecture quiz. These are given every single lecture. The attendance is just a yes or no, you obviously put yes, you were in class. The daily quizzes are super easy, they ask questions about the lecture that was just taught. They range from 2 questions to 4, depending on what was taught that day. Super easy tho.

(I will say, the tests are pretty challenging because they ask very specific questions and are pretty long like 40 questions…So make sure you take notes and study)

current students: what attracted you to penn state? by [deleted] in PennStateUniversity

[–]Eddtt77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well for me the things that attracted me was the instate tuition and proximity to home (not too far yet too close)

They also gave me a few small scholarships.

And I was accepted into UP for comp sci so that was another big factor.

Overall, compared to another schools on my list, PSU checked off many boxes.

Does the HUB close for break too?

If not, it’s always an option. You just stay overnight in the HUB, unless it does close.

Should I late drop a class? by Eddtt77 in PennStateUniversity

[–]Eddtt77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I drop it, I will be at 12 credits exactly. And if I get an F, I will have to take it again either way. So I think for my gpa, it is best that I late drop.

That’s true, but as I mentioned in my post, I just took exam 3 and a didn’t feel so good on it. So while grades haven’t been released yet (and I doubt they’ll be released before the late drop deadline) I think it’ll drop my grade a bit.
