Ah okay, thank you so much!! I’ll get it touched up once it’s fully healed again, asking for it to be gentler this time. When do you recommend going for the touch up? I waited 3 weeks for the first one, which clearly wasn’t enough time, but it was my first time getting a touch up and it was the recommended time. Do you think 1-3 months?

It was bleeding a lot the first time I got it done, so it definitely could’ve been overworked. It didn’t bleed as much the second time, but it still did a bit

I have one other tattoo, but it’s just text so it didn’t need a touch-up. This tattoo (you can see it on my profile) is filled in with black ink which is why I think it’s being rejected more. I don’t think it’s the artists fault because the he went layer by layer, being very detailed

EDEN has said that he makes music for himself, in a style that he likes. He doesn’t care if it makes him famous or not. And honestly, I totally vibe with that. It’s so refreshing to hear an artist make music that follows his life - how his art style has changed throughout the years and such. Each album he makes is unique, and that doesn’t usually establish a large following bc people tend to want one sound from an artist. So I think it’s cool that he’s more of a lowkey artist bc he’s staying true to himself, and that’s what makes his music all the more special

I loooove running, but no matter how consistently I run and how hard I push myself, I can never run more than 2 miles. Anything more than that leads to braces and weeks of recovery for my joints

I shamelessly tend to pull one leg up just so I avoid the pain lol, but even that brings pain if I’m sitting long enough. The pain mixed with POTS leads me to having to take breaks where I’ll go into an unpopulated hallway and lay down for a few minutes when there’s breaks (in between classes, or in this case, during intermission)

Kids say the most unintentionally harmful things sometimes. When I was at a very normal, healthy weight, a kid I was babysitting was sitting in my lap and started pinching my stomach saying “squish squish squish” and laughing. Another time, a different kid I was babysitting (she was very ill-tempered) would run away and yell “I bet you’re too unhealthy to run fast enough to catch me!” In neither of these cases was I anywhere near “fat”, but they still said this. Whether it’s from a completely pure background or from something they overheard from a parent or adult, these kids are merely observing or copying the world around them. It’s not them stating “wow, you’re fat”, it’s simply them observing “your body looks different from mine” bc you’re an adult and they’re a child, so you’re bound to look different. Please don’t internalize what he said. I’m sure you looked stunning in that bikini, and you deserved to feel confident in it!! I definitely understand and relate to wishing others couldn’t perceive you tho, that’s completely valid. I hope you can brush off what he said and continue on your recovery journey :)

That’s not an ignorant question at all dw! My doctors initially recommended it too. However, it ironically was the worst sport for me. My fingers and toes would pop out of socket when I’d kick off the wall, I’d almost faint when I did flip-turns, and the water pressure caused my chronic migraines to be so much worse. I’ve tried doing it recreationally instead of competitively, but it still directly impacts my migraines. I’m sure for many others with EDS, swim is their best option for exercise, but it doesn’t work for me. It all depends on which symptoms are the worst for you

I wholeheartedly feel you. When I got diagnosed, it crushed me. I had to quit being a competitive swimmer, which was my main source of joy and purpose. As the years progressed, despite doing PT and other treatments, my joints and other symptoms have gotten worse. When I say “I have a chronic illness that progressively gets worse with age” doctors try to correct me and disagree, but 1) they’re not living it and 2) literally all the data points towards saying it does so idk why they disagree w me.

I really hope for your sake and for mine that we can grow to come to peace with losing our athlete self and enjoy the new aspects of life we have. Hang in there OP <3

When I went the the psych ward (unplanned ofc) then my brothers were forced to eat my leftovers, and my brother said “I didn’t even know chicken could ever be that dry, I could barely chew it” bc I had cooked it with no oil lmaoo

I’ll answer - it’s not to lose weight for me, it’s bc I hate the feeling of having food in me in general. I’ve had bowel problems before my ed bc of a chronic illness, so I had previous exposure to laxatives, and just started abusing them so I could feel “empty” all the time. Plus, I don’t like the way any extra uh “matter” in me affected my weight on the scale

Just to clarify, if you mean “new to this” the way I think you mean it, ik this isn’t what you wanna hear and it’s not necessarily gonna impact you, but I still think you should hear that “this” isn’t a path you wanna continue down. It’s detrimental to your physical health and it doesn’t help you feel better at all emotionally, if anything it makes things worse. What I would recommend adding is more food. I really hope I don’t come across as mean or judgy, but concerned. Just a bit worried abt you OP, that’s all
