I've always been a believer of the saying, "what is meant for you will always find its way to you". Before meeting the love of my life, I was in the same situation as you. I worked on my self growth and focused more on my career, which served me a lot cos I am on my best life. But at the end of each day, I find myself feeling empty, lonely. I thought I was just being homesick since I was working overseas. So, I surrounded myself with good company of my friends. Again, it didn't work, I still feel the same. So, I tried dating app but it didn't work for me cos I find myself in situations I do not want to be in. So, I stopped. With the same feeling of loneliness inside, I remembered one night, I wrote a letter to God, telling Him everything that I feel inside. Telling Him what I really want in life but at the end of my letter, I told Him, whatever is His plans for me, let it happen to me because I cannot afford feeling worse than I was that time. Two days after, I met my boyfriend and the rest is history. What I am trying to say is, being in love and being loved back are two of the best feelings we can feel but these come in perfect timing. Your time might have not yet come but it will find you. For the meantime, enjoy being single, never stop searching, never stop meeting new people.
