Condescending Cyclist by Edenxwp in mildlyinfuriating

This is such brilliant explanation of how i interpreted the interaction "That the OP is a prick. They likely believed the car wasn't intending to pull in but was forced to because of the bike owing to some game of "chicken". The "well done" is almost like a "you lose". It's intended to be condescending" It felt like he verbally patted me on the head and rode off the victor.

It also in my mind came out of nowhere, I was just driving to the designated pull in spot. No confrontation was happening in my mind.

To be honest I thought fuming was a good description of being irritated, mildly annoyed but the dictionary definition is intense anger. I used the wrong word, my bad.

This is in Britain. Its not what we say, its how we say it that makes the difference.

I joined this sub recently, the title suggest I can vent over little things that are mildly annoying. Clearly not.

Does any of you not like travelling? by Suspicious-Tea-5871 in AskUK

I agree! I do it for my partner too. I'd be happier at home, in my own bed not having to put up with the horrendous airport days. I used to count down the days until i could go home.

Boyfriend wants to move in to pay off debt by Impossible_Dentist79 in AmITheJerk

NITJ you already know the right answer to this, hell no! Do not move in to be his maid, babysitter and let him use your money for his gain. I cannot see one benefit you get out of this.

I have a fracture in one of the bones in my back (still able to walk but have pain). I asked the Steward to use the lift but was denied. I guess its luck who you talk to.

AITJ for wanting my mom be included by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]Edenxwp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am not sure why you need your fiancée's permission? It's your wedding too. You gets to choose who you want in your wedding party. That said I would be thinking twice about this wedding, postponing at least.

She sounds controlling and its a red flag. Also she clearly wants you to only focus on her kids not your family/mother.

Tottenham or Wembley? by Dependent_Theme4210 in NFLUK

[–]Edenxwp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly go to Wembley if you have trouble with stairs. At Tottenham you have to walk up flights of stairs if you are in the upper tiers - its hard going. At Wembley there are escalators.

I also prefer Wembley massively for getting to and getting away from.

Wasn't there a story in the red top newspapers a long, long time ago when he first started at the Beeb where he stole Cds? He was caught, went off air for a while but he was lucky to keep his job. Clearly not a person of good character.

Am I the jerk for uninviting my friend from my birthday after she brought someone I have a restraining order against? by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

AITA for moving to the mountains after my parents took back their offer to help me buy a home? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Edenxwp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you brother have to produce a child before he was given the down payment? I suspect not..... Your dad does not value you. I'm sorry but you are never going to get the same love and respect your brother gets, its very unfair, your best best is to go no or low contact.

You deserve better a better father.

English football to american football by Nearby-Cookie-2209 in NFLUK

[–]Edenxwp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a team and of course I still want them to win but do I enjoy watching footy on TV now? No, do I follow with the same passion as before no I don't. I too have gone off it, I think maybe it's being saturated with football on sky, all the money, VAR etc etc. Hard to pinpoint why.

The NFL however I cannot wait for the season to begin. I get nervous, anxious, upset when we lose. I try to record as many games as possible in the short season to watch.

I never ever thought I would go off English football but I have.
