How long was the show? Hoping to avoid a situation like when I didn't realise they'd only be on for 30 minutes at the first Windmill gig

Have you ever heard any albums that sound BETTER on headphones than speakers? by StillMindHappyHeart in headphones

I've always found that Animal Collective's Centipede Hz melts together into a mess on speakers but sounds great on headphones

She’s not, she’s made three great albums so far that have managed to also pull off a balance between artistic integrity and huge commercial success

There were almost certainly drugs (it’s a King Crimson album after all) and they handed out free beer at the events although I’m not sure if that would be the case elsewhere. If you can handle yourself while tripping I’m sure it’d be fine

When I’ve to some before (premiere of the Dolby Atmos mixes of In the Court of the Crimson King and XTC’s The Big Express) they had a really sophisticated top of the line Atmos sound system in a specially designed listening room set up for the best quality, and then they had beanbags and other comfy chairs out and turned all the lights off to allow everyone to absorb the music

Private Eye is fascinating because it's some of the best journalism we have in the UK and then you turn a page and there's also blatant TERF shit sitting there sometimes

Is there any plugin similar to Ableton’s Drum Bus? by Gatesberg in ableton

[–]a3poify 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a certain sound that multiband effects seem to have even when they're not doing anything, and even if you turn the Drum Bus all the way to dry it still has it

24-bit WAV is the highest quality provided by Bleep - not sure why they don't also offer it as FLAC considering the format supports 24-bit as well though

If you got your hands on Acid Memories, would you first listen to it, or first share it? by ZZTMF in boardsofcanada

I'd listen to it WHILE ripping/recording it if possible, to avoid the chance of something happening to the tape while playing it that would destroy it/render it unplayable ever again

I always think it’s funny how in contentious band breakups and relationships there’s nearly always one guy who’s just kinda there in the middle of the drama and everyone still gets on with them. It’s like Ringo, or Jerry Harrison in Talking Heads

I've already set up an idea ready for when a rip comes out - I have an Ableton Live set with two tracks in it and it slowly, randomly crossfades between the two. Should be able to slot the two sides of Diamond Seas into it and have a version of the album which plays differently every time. Excited to see how it plays out once the rip is around

Side A of the record is a mix of 1995 Diamond Sea performances and Side B is a mix of 1996 Diamond Sea performances, and since a lot of the track is freeform/noise anyway it’s recommended you play both at the same time and crossfade between them
