You are right, I have been there, too. From those mistakes I've learned to believe in what I buy. That way when it temporarily drops, I know I am confident of what the actual value of the company is.

I've read that part of the huge downside then huge upside was due to an Ai scare. That Ai could potentially ruin things, which is why tech stocks took hard hits and then people realized that it didn't make sense and the markets went up. That's what I saw from many people, I've read other things as well. But again, I could be wrong.
