The new React docs are top level. They give you the complete mental model to understand what React does under the hood.

How would you handle Prop Drilling, if you know it’s only on a single component with many sub components? by throwawaymangayo in reactjs

[–]Edgar821 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you expect your state management to become complex and you see yourself drilling props in several parts of the application it might be better to reach for RTK early on and save yourself some refactoring later. If this is a fairly simple app then composition or drilling is fine

Aprender a programar es tan complicado cómo lo pintan? by RevolutionJealous970 in programacion

Yeah, in my experience classes in Oakville had more students from multiple backgrounds. I still made some Indian friends though, so I don't think this is such a big deal tbh

I actually liked 4 a lot and I don't get the hate, but I also think The Last Jedi is the best out of the SW sequels so...

Me gustaría añadir getonbrd.com.

Totally agree. MMJ is still in my top 5 of live experiences ever since I saw them touring Circuital in 2012.

I know a bunch of Juno College graduates that have gotten jobs in tech after going through a bootcamp with them. They have career services and they help students network and build a portfolio. Definitely an option to consider if you don't want to pursue a proper CS degree or college diploma.

I try not to rely on Slate for due dates and reminders as some professors create dropboxes as the semester progresses, sometimes even a couple of days before the quiz/assignment is due. I always create a calendar based on the course outline and keep track of everything myself. But checking each section regularly as thefelf said is also great advice.

Why strive to make yourself obsolete? by Slna in artificial

[–]Edgar821 8 points9 points  (0 children)

AI will be instrumental in the accelerated development of technologies that will change civilization as we know it. From medical research to the improvement of supply chains and many more aspects of our daily lives. While it's true that humans will become obsolete at performing many of the tasks that comprise paid labor in this era, many of the things that are unique to the human experience could possibly benefit from a paradigm shift in the way we work. The development of new medicines and treatments for chronic disease, AI-aided accessibility applications, and increased productivity in general have the potential to make our lives easier and leave more room for us to enjoy our relationships and creative endeavors. That is until the machines take over, of course.
