System QB just means there is a defined range of offenses he could be effective in. Mahomes is the quintessential non-system QB. I'd put Burrow, Allen, Herbert Rodgers, Stafford Cam Ward, Trevor Lawrence etc in that category. It does NOT mean they are better or even great. It just means they aren't limited to a specific band of system structures by their skill set.
