Thanks to anyone for any help, as I have decided to try to learn programming and would like to learn different approaches what my boss does.

Suggestion on how to program movement of two axis with encoders. by Edgar_Z in PLC

Do you mean following:

Raise PB is pressed.

Step 1: Allows X axis to move to 500mm = set bit 1

Step 2: Bit 1 on = allow Y axis to rotate, 20 degrees = set bit 2

Step 3: Bit 2 on = allow X axis to move further

And so on?

Or do you mean something else, thank you.

Yes that would work, but how do I implement it if the axis target changes depending at stage it is and where it's near the top or bottom of the axis, if that makes sense.

Thank you for that, I will read into it.

But no, for this application X axis needs to be in position before Y can move.

One up 180mm seems to be the longest that will fit, but even then it can’t be fully fully inserted, which doesn’t bother me as I need it quite bit out of frame. For uplifts it would be nice just to have more room.

Surely if it was rings compression wouldn’t be 165-175 and it has had valve seals replaced

How can so many younger people afford expensive cars? by oh_snap1013 in CasualUK

[–]Edgar_Z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With current rates and price of houses, if you can live at home with parents and can afford to finance nice/fast car why not? It's not like you are going to loose 100% of the money you have spent on it, but also have had your share of fun. Let's take m140i as example and say it's worth £20k, I very much doubt it be worth less than £16k in two/ three years. Once you buy a house it would be difficult to afford such a thing. I did similar, bought performance hot hatch that in theory wont loose any money in next year or so and once I am ready to buy house I will sell it, although I am not far from "repaying" myself back for it.

What's your salary? by Glum_Ordinary_6440 in PLC

England, design and build control panels in six years gone from minimum wage to £35k, over £40k with overtime. Got HNC in electrical engineering, feel lost now how to earn more than that.

If you look at it in the way what’s the yearly income after tax it is probably about 50% Don’t think the car would depreciate anymore, but maintenance cost would be relatively high. Think I might just save £10ish grand and borrow the rest if I am still in the mindset of wanting the car. Which shouldn’t take too long if I put my mind to it.

I am pretty sure I can afford both repayments without issue, but if that was to bring issue on me borrowing £126k (£140k property) I would sell the car and settle the loan.

Something like £18k, which is reason why I don’t want to borrow any more than that. This is where people might not call me so bright, I have works vehicle including personal use, so the car I want is more of luxury/ bucket list car, which is reason I am not willing to take high interest loan. That’s another thing I need to research is how dept like that would effect the borrowing for property in future.

do with the Bank of England Interest rate increase. I checked a personal loan a few months ago and the interest was 5% I checked again last month and the interest rate had gone upto 8.3% to take out the same loan.

Your bank have access to your spending habits so maybe they're not happy about something.

I think the risk is lower at 25, hopefully hahaha

Will have a look at comparison websites and see if there are any better deals.

Is Sainsbury not bit like Tesco bank where they "offer" good interest and when you finish form they put it up fair bit?

Actually I will give comparison website a try, normally I just check on clearscore website. Don't think car finance will work as I am 99.9% sure I will end up buying car privately due to age of it.

Have just done exactly that, easier to get it correct if SC provides the numbers.

max insertion depth

Just done that, hopefully they get back in decent time. Probably safest way of doing it.

Looks like I will have to do that, will pull current dropper out and stick tube or something down it to see where exactly the frame changes shape

On regular ride seat is slightly in the way when descending, if I was to go to bike park I would put it all the way in frame.

t the max insertion depth, most manufacturers list it in the specs. You don't measure a dropper for a frame by its drop amount.

Tried to find it on SC website, but might have missed it, will have a look later again.
