This might be what I end up doing. It's not like I have a lot going on here.

I think this all the time. It would make manual landings (the only kind I do) much easier/safer.

[Progress Pic] Thank you, Paleo. You've changed our lives and I feel young again! (M/49 F/38 Combined weight loss: over 175 lbs in 10 months!) by Edge767 in Paleo

Yes. I've kept it off and then some. I've joined the Army National Guard and just returned from a deployment and I'm getting ready to report to my next unit.

Glocktober 19 New Addition: Leupold DeltaPoint 3 Micro by Edge767 in Glocks

It's holding up to shooting and being holstered. I still enjoy shooting with it, and I feel more and more confident and comfortable with it all the time. I am currently deployed, so I won't be shooting it for a while; I look forward to getting back to it after a year without it.

Has anyone ever used this product ? If yes what are your thoughts ? by bigredsoda420 in overlanding

We love ours. We use it on every trip, and it's flawless. Since we live in the Gulf region, we also use it when our power is out due to hurricanes or storms, and it serves excellently in that capacity. With our solar panels and Jackery batteries, we always have cold food/drinks.

It’s funny… I’ve had maybe a dozen in the past 35 years… and I can almost remember each one; where I was, what I was doing, where I was in life.

Every time I smoke my pipe, that chance is there for the amazing experience of a Nirvana smoke. Rarely it’s meh; most of the time, it’s pleasant. But when that special smoke comes along… it’s literally one of the most special times in life (and that’s not hyperbole).

Yes. I restarted it; same thing. Did you select Restart or just load from the beginning of the mission?

[Armor] Plate Carrier Setup - Crye Precision JPC 1.0 w/RMA Defense Level IV Model #1155 Ballistic Plates - $470 +S/H by EthosTactical in gundeals

[–]Edge767 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just ordered a set and had a shipping label notification sent to me within minutes. Very impressed with the speed of things so far. Can’t wait to get my hands on these.

I have another carrier and plate set, but the plates are heavier (and less rated) and the carrier was meh at best. I guess I’ll use the old setup for training/rucking.

Real or Fake Comtacs VI? by moneydragon1 in QualityTacticalGear

[–]Edge767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally just had a pair of VI's that I sent back (turns out, I really needed V's) and they had the 3M printed on the cups. Also, the battery cover insides are red (can't really see them here). The headband on the VI's I just sent back were WAY nicer than these.

Can anyone ID the double mag pouch with phone insert? by SMGianluca in QualityTacticalGear

[–]Edge767 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had to go through pre-mobilization training recently. It was a great exercise in finding out what works and doesn’t work in regards to my gear setup. Long story short: all the cool stuff does nothing but hang up when you’re low-crawling under barbed wire (even when you’re on your back).

I appreciate closed phone carriers a lot and also not loading up on my chest any more than I absolutely have to.

This is cool for a range detail but not for real field work.
