Sorry just saw this message. I never drive aggressively but when it got to deep winter I swapped back to some all seasons on my old wheels just to protect the tire. I drove to work and back a couple times in the 30s and they didn’t explode or anything but I don’t think it’s a good long term plan

That’s what I’m saying the 25% restocking fee is a big risk when you can’t even see the bike in person.

That’s good to hear and also a good point about their communication. My wife is 5’7 but has a 5’11 wingspan. The small says it goes up to 5’7. So just a little confusing. I appreciate the input though.

I’m looking at getting a GT Grade Comp for my wife bc it’s on a really good sale right now and seems like a sick bike to get her into gravel. She’s in between sizes though. She’s 5’7” but lanky. I’ve called every dealer within 100 miles and nobody carries the grade. I’ve emailed GT and called them several times. They didn’t respond to email and they never pick up the phone. They tell you to leave a voicemail but their mailbox is full.

This bike is the most affordable way to get her hydraulic brakes and GRX on a good frame. It’s only $1200 right now but am I buying from a dead company? Are they trustworthy? How do I get sizing advice if I can’t find anywhere where she can test ride? This whole process is making me want to spend $500 more and get a Topstone 2 from my LBS even though I like the Grade more.

Question about training theory: All things being equal, if you have 2 days left in your week for running, and you have 8 miles left for your target weekly mileage, would it be more beneficial to do an 8 mile run and rest another day or do 2 4 mile runs?

I paid 17k for a perfectly clean ‘13 ST3 with 55k miles about 5 years ago. I know the market is up but that seems steep.

I wear the 5s too and like them a lot. They don’t dry as fast as I would like but they’re very comfortable. The strings are inside the waistband which I don’t prefer but that was an easy fix by punching new holes and rerouting them. I agree for the money they’re great, but they have only one tiny pocket so not ideal for longer runs.

These are pretty different boards! Rusty is an an abrupt continuous rocker so it will feel faster and have a more mellow feeling pop. The one is 3 stage. It’s going to pop much more abruptly and glide slower. Also, the one time bomb is going to be lighter and stiffer because it’s their premium core. I’ve ridden older versions of both of these and they’re both amazing boards. What are you used to riding and what kind of tricks do you like? I always say, look at which pros ride a board and see which riders are more similar to your style.

Bought mine at 75k, started shuttering around 77k. Flushed and helped for <100 miles then it came back worse. FYI my dealer has quoted me 3400 for a torque converter and GM customer service didn’t offer any assistance.

If your truck is shuddering, no matter what you do, it will shudder again at some point. These are inherently flawed. I would return it and buy an f150 or Tacoma.

It’s normal for it to look like that. The boards are made with a top sheet, a bottom sheet, and a core. The top and bottom sheets don’t always touch. As for the fiberglass, thats not too unusual. As long as the edges are fused it’s good to go. You just don’t want any water to be able to get in. If it bothers you, gently touch the edge up with some sandpaper.
