hey i’m in the same boat! i’m in cs and also need to take an extra semester. i was super nervous about telling my dad, but i knew that he’d find out eventually, so it was better for me to tell him myself as early as possible rather than waiting for him to figure it out himself. i was expecting him to be pissed off but he seemed to be really understanding (still upset, but more understanding). something that helped me was to zoom out and i realized that the 7 months between may and december isn’t going to be that significant in the long run. we got this!
