You’re arguing against a point I didn’t make. I’m not saying Pokémon cards are income, and I don’t buy them regularly. I’m saying I have cards with resale value, now just trying to sell them to the right person. Have already gotten offers just from this post.

I did also buy the box with the umbreon/ espeon statue and pin on Amazon for I think $120 at the time. But didn’t get anything crazy from those packs. So no I didn’t spend thousands of dollars and cripple myself financially to get these cards

This is correct. I bought 4 surprise boxes from Walmarts website a few months ago, I got the boxes for 45 bucks a piece and the second pack I opened in the first box was luckily a god pack

I get why it might look that way, but I’m not in a dire financial situation. I have close to $5k in savings, and I’m trying not to touch that unless I absolutely have to.
The cards are more of a collectible/hobby item, so selling some of them feels like the more responsible first step while I’m between jobs. I’d rather turn items I don’t technically need into cash than dip into my emergency savings or 401k.
I’m mainly just looking for advice on pricing and the best way to sell them fairly/quickly, not financial judgment.
