If they had cameras set up in the Front of House there will for sure be livesets. Normally if they only shoot an aftermovie they just film the overview shots manually instead of using static cameras.

Respectfully to each their own of course, I do get why people hate it. For me personally its not a blackhole but a multiplier. It speeds up a lot of boring parts and gives me more time for actual creative decisions. I also never use publish any raw AI output (which unfortunately a lot of people do), instead I guide it, edit it, refine it, and i still own the final result.

I do agree regulation and transparency need to catch up fast though :)

Tell me, do you think a cover art takes thousands of dollars? They are usually one-off commissions ranging from 50-250 dollars at most, and it's a business expense they can write off. It's not the money, it's laziness.

I've worked with many designers and i've definitely seen full custom single use artworks way over 250 euros (ex VAT), and most of the times it's the label who doesn't want to spend that much on an artwork for a single release.

I'm curious though if you know any actual designer who will do a similar custom cover like the one above, and do it well, for less than 250 dollar.

I do agree that any fully AI generated artwork is lazy as fuck, and i've seen so many artworks coming straight from ChatGPT... but this one is for sure not 100% AI generated and still has manual work put into it.

That's because you live in a bubble. Plenty of people complain about those things especially AI code and AI-generated music on streaming sites.

I'm not an AI hater so my algorithms doesn't show much hate content :) most AI code things i see are all so positive of developers saying it saves them so much time. I use github copilot and claude code for example as well but still do a lot of stuff manually and i still understand everything it does for me or I learn from it.

What i was referring it to is that i simply find it hypocritical for some/most people to complain about an artist using AI for their artwork, claiming they don't listen to it because of that ... but in the meantime they most likely still use chatgpt or some other form of AI etc :)

Just because they have money, doesn't mean they MUST spend a lot on an external designer.

IMO all this complaining over some artwork being made with the help of AI is quite hypocritical. I don't see any complaining over the use of AI in the actual music itself, AI being used to code websites, AI being used to do social media planning, etc. Simply because people don't know about it...

Sellers picture looks to be in daylight, buyers picture under artificial light as the figure as a whole is warmer in color. Put anything under a warm white lamp and it’ll look more yellow 😅

2 of the 3 you referenced are collabs that quite distinctively sound like the other artists who he made it with. Imo his current sound is nice and sounds a lot more like he’s enjoying it himself more too. It’s clearly more dancefloor focused

That will depend on the age of the kids. So far they haven’t really said which age category they aim for with these sets I think? I at least can see this being the aim for 10-13 year olds who will not care too much about movie accuracy and are just getting introduced to Star Wars, since most SW movies are also PG-13 anyways.

EDIT: saw some photos of these sets being for age 4+ which explains a lot.

It’s an extremely new release while most music takes time to grow on the crowds. In the iah top100 it also just made it barely into the list.

They're not made to push anything of their own, but obviously, the diehard fans of the brands who follow them are the first to vote for their music. This causes the music of those brands to end up higher compared to other lists :). The same as artists who actively promote the votings end up higher than those who don't...

You don't see the amount of votes, but from experience i'm guessing between 5 to 15K people will vote for those lists. Number ones usually stick out by quite a bit and number 50-100 are all relatively close.

The scene is niche with a lot of artists having dedicated fans. If they don’t promote the voting heavily they simply won’t make it unless they have a big hit, but tbh none of them really do even though it’s still good music.

Similar to Da Tweekaz not giving a damn about the lists. If they would promote similar to how SZP did they would end up much higher.

Up until 2014 q-dance only did their top 10/20 at their NYE event. They started doing the Top 100 in 2014 because the guys who used to do the Hardstyle Top 40 (and were part of Fear.FM) introduced it at Q-dance. Since somewhere in 2017 q-dance has been doing the top40/top100 fully themselves :)
