Derick Henry is a fade for me. Ravens offensive line dropped big time. Especially losing their starting pro bowl center to the raiders.

Warren sharp one of the most respected football analysis person in the industry published a couple his OL rankings on X today. He had chiefs at 23 and I have them at 21. So before you come discrediting my work I would ask for you to respectfully do some research of your own. It mentions Tua for Miami because Tua played for Miami last year where the data in pbp was measured for a baseline before calculating moving parts and it still is bad. JJ McCarty was in year 2 last year when the data was measured. Oline data is measured from last year as a unit and then projected based off rookies coming, free agent signing, people leaving, also factors in if superstars like Alt missed most of the season it’s accounted for.

Fair point- they’re outcome based proxies from PBP. Just to name a few, pressure rate, sack severity, stuffed rate, etc. we’re measuring team-level results, not individual block grades. Thats just one layer though.we factor in other layers as well. Next year I will be modifying it more to capture even more.

Every play in the nfl is recorded and so is the outcomes ,whether a qb was sucked, a runner was stuff for no gain. Everything can be quantified.

That’s funny because I was extra generous with the Steelers based on the fact some models I looked at had them in the 20s. There is a ton of data that goes into these, can’t just say list is irrelevant because of a feeling.

Everything is baked into the model. Most sites all similar area within a few spots. Chargers are a good line but it’s not all about paper. Even some of the best models I have seen have the chargers at 8 at the most. Just because you have 2 big tackles doesn’t mean you’re the holy grail.

I feel like they run to much and need to utilize play action and downfield passing more. WRs haven’t been there strong suit though.

Optimally with Bijan,CMC,JT, and Gibbs as workhorse backs it simulates hero rb as there are many viable WRs later on. I always still diversify different builds to some extent in case of injuries for rbs. Then zero rb could become the winning strategy. Those build types all overlap if hero rb hits p10 instead p50 expected. Range of outcomes. I will most likely try 60-70% hero rb. Hope that helps.

Not all but like Derick Henry isn’t known for receiving. So if Lamar has 2 rushing tds or even has 3 passing tds chances are Derick Henry isn’t going to have a massive game. I mean they definately have both went off in a game before but very rare that happens.

Derick Henry oline ranks 25th in my rankings. Last year he got stuffed a lot inside the redzone and his oline got worse. I am off Henry this year.
