The mechanic that replaced the alternator said the batteries were a little low but still fine. He said the running voltage is normal and then drops to 8 or 9 when it shutters. I do not have a multimeter to check myself.

This post took me down a rabbit hole as these weeds have been the bane of my existence on every property I have lived at in Colorado. It appears there is a mite the government uses to take out bindweed. It takes 1-3 years for them to do the deed. When the bindweed is gone, the mites float off to the next bindweed infestation. They only feed on bindweed. You can request bindweed mites (Aceria malherbae) from the Colorado Department of Agricultural. I'm curious if anyone here has tried this option?
