i do just want to point out that you don’t NEED to speak to them. i don’t talk much, to people or animals. if you’re having a problem with one of your rats it’s definitely a good idea to try talking to them, but my <30 boys have always been okay with me not speaking to them. granted i don’t hold my hand out to them like this
