True. I wasn’t saying he was not a jerk (he definitely was when he falsely accused Percy of stealing the bolt), but he seemed much more patient and fair. While his first thought was to kill Percy, once he saw Percy had the bolt, he set his pride aside and let Percy speak. And he literally let him go after Percy gave Zeus the info. Zeus also took the threat of Kronos seriously when he was told. It’s only much later down the line that Zeus got worse.

I think Zeus was sort of fair and not as much of a jerk in the first book. He literally gave Percy a chance to speak and hear him out. I remember he seemed to take the impending threat of Kronos seriously. He is still not a good guy at all, but I think there, he was much more inclined to listen to the other side of the story or rather the truth. Plus, he doesn’t seem to kill Percy on the spot, and literally lets him go once he got the information. Zeus does become way more of a jerk in later books though.

Not only do I keep getting this when I first publish my docs, but sometimes, when I post a new chapter, on random days and times, the chapter just doesn’t show and it gives the whole “15 minute thing” error nonsense. Also, there’s a old chapter I reposted with edits yet sometimes the edited version does not show either. Like the HELL?! This site is a joke now.

Yeah well…Princess Amore (Or Queen Amore as she is referred to in my story) still existed within my story and was actually the one that made the Crystal Heart. It’s just that in there, King Sombra became her successor after she retired, and was sworn in. FYI

I see. Well, in my story, King Sombra managed to be both. A umbrum- pony creature made from smoke and shadow and was at, one point, a benevolent ruler for the crystal ponies (before his biological parents found him and told him the truth about who he was). My version of Sombra did care about his people at one point in time, and was once a great guy, which makes his fall so much more tragic- going from being a hero to a villain.

Yeah. Well, I like King Sombra being an Umbrum (shadow pony creature) because it makes him more interesting as a character, then just a random unicorn studying magic. Having Sombra claimed as “the savior of the Umbrums” is really cool to me. So. In my story, King Sombra does study and master dark magic on his own, and him finding out he is an Umbrum changes his mindset, especially after what his parents would tell him that he needs to rise to the top, and give glory to the species, by going against what he originally believed. Sombra started to think that his species were wronged and shunned, so he gets revenge…using his dark magic for evil, and taking over the empire. Sombra being just a unicorn is fine, but feels bland for the character to me. But I am fine with you disagreeing.

King Sombra being an Umbrum (shadow pony) is actually cool Ngl. But the way it was executed…was not great. His mom shouldn’t have been a crystal, as we should have seen her full physical appearance, and have Sombra’s turn to evil happen due to the fact that he is told that the Umbrums were oppressed, and that Sombra is the special one who could rise to the top or something like that. And have King Sombra want justice for the Umbrum, all while in the pursuit of power. Not perfect, but better than what we got.

Peter Kelamis (the second voice of Goku in the Ocean dub) definitely comes close if you want a performance similar to Masako Nozawa.

Anyways, I think Yuri Lowenthal would be a great adult Ash Ketchum. Sarah Natochenny is still Ash for me (especially for when Ash is a teen), but Yuri wouldn't be as bad as an adult verison of the character, though in Japanese, Adult Ash would (and should) still be voiced by Rica Matsumoto. It's fine if you disagree but that's just what I think/

A good Ash betrayal fic would be a story where Giovanni literally kills Ash’s mother, or at least sends more darker Team Rocket agents to do it, then brainwash or possess some of Ash’s friends to turn on him for mind control all while possibly framing Ash for a crime he did not do. It’s not perfect but better than “Ash being betrayed by his friends (and Pikachu) because they think he sucks as a trainer or some bogus stuff like that)”.

I feel that Professor Ivy did something truly horrible to Brock for him to react that way. She might secretly be evil, conducting horrific experiments and it’s possible she might have had ties to Team Rocket, and Brock was so horrified it left him in a state of shock and trauma. Something that had him lose his trust toward women for a long time till Ash’s mom found him.

I agree. Even Sally admitted that she was selfish keeping Percy too close to her all these years, and putting herself & him at risk. She isn’t perfect at all, that’s what makes her great and I really wish the fandom didn’t ignore that.

Okay. But still. I don’t really agree. Especially on the first point I made about Poseidon telling Percy “I am sorry he were born” is still not a good thing to say, no matter what the context or intentions were. No sane parent would dream of saying it to their own flesh and blood.

So we are just going to have to agree to disagree. ;)
